Premier League 2017/18: Matchday 30

Alexis was invisible the whole game again and it's clear that his season they're not gonna get anything out of him.
Rashford was superb with those two goals, especially the first. Cold blooded finishing at its finest with some good providing from Lukaku.
The portuguese c**t annihilated Liverpool's attack well today by not giving them the space to operate.

Bailly on Roberts on is probably a penalty if Monreal made such a tackle. If Xhaka did what Young did to Salah, it's a penalty and the handball would gave been given if that was Chambers instead of Bailly. Inconsistent refereeing as per usual but cue the outpouring of sympathy mumbling Klopp will get whereas we'd be called naive and laughed at in the same situation.

There were 2 penalties, imo - the Bailly and the Flamini.

You can’t be serious. We played really well. Scored 2 and only conceded a comical own goal against the supposed best attack in the leagueTM. We were the deserved winners. Comfortably.

You defended well and probably deserved to win against a Pool side that was poor. But scoring two goals from goal kicks isn't exactly state-of-the-art attacking. Just like Matic scoring a screamer at the last minute isn't exactly the safest game plan to get the three points.

But if you believe you're going to catch the likes of ManC, Barca, Real and Bayern with that football, then good for you. I wouldn't be too confident, though, seeing how Mourinho turned one of the most dynamic offensive players of the last few years into a defensive winger in six games.

Wouldn't say Alexis was invisible but they are definitely struggling to fit him in. He was a totally unnecessary signing for them when you consider the form/potential of Martial, Rashford and Lingard.

What could he do?

He had 3 players on him at all times. Young as a right footed left back with pace was perfect. Mata and Rashford doubled up defensively. McTominay and Matic also protected their CBs excellently.

Think Ashley Young specifically deserves a lot of credit, he stayed alert and didn't let anything go past him.

Arsenal Quotes

Religiously, it is said that God created man. I am only a guide. I allow others to express what they have in them. I have not created anything. I am a facilitator of what is beautiful in man.
