Oppo fans come here when we have sh*t performances like this one.

That's cool.

Desperation makes you do strange things. We dont lose often so when it happens, its a good event for the opposition who want to see our demise. They'll even stop their NYE celebrations to read our anger and frustrations.

To Arsenal people reading this, go and enjoy your cross over into 2024. Like the sun will rise tomorrow, Arsenal will be back to its best.

We still have the 2nd best defensive record in the league. We have only conceded 20 goals and Man City have conceded 21 so it's not as bad as you think. Liverpool have only conceded 16 which is pretty impressive though. We just need to score more, that's been our problem this season.

Its difficult to have perspective during the difficult times, that's human nature.

But yes, you are right... we are largely in a good space. Work to do of course, but confident in our ability to get it done.

Does a new striker even help us? They are working with minimal chances. Look at how many chances Haaland, Nunez, Richarlison get to squander. With us, it’s miss one and that’s all you are getting from the game. Arteta will then come out and talk about being clinical and better in both boxes.

The problem is the style of play, we let teams get settled, there is no movement, no combinations no variety to unsettle the blocks we come up against. A natural attacking full back would help. A striker would help. A natural no.8 would help. One alone will not solve anything, it’ll likely just be more wasted funds.
Signing a CF is short-sighted and only looks to address the symptom and not the cause of the issue.

It's understandable also because how silly conclusions people here make. Had to put a few on block, and it's part of why I don't come here much when the form is off.

I can only imagine the opposition fans laughing when they see fans here not wanting Arteta given money etc. so they can see Arsenal struggle the rest of the season with injury-prone defence. So the level will drop like last season.

Not everyone can go out, have been sick for the first time in ages. But have a good one guys! :love:

Why is the team going to a training camp in Dubai? Shouldn’t it be a winter break like in Germany?
If you’re going to a training camp you’re not taking a break. Players should be at home with their families.
Will the hotter conditions make them stronger? work harder? Endurance? conditioning?

They were the better team in both games, we did not deserve a point in the reverse fixture.

our attack and manger is stale and our saliba gab defence is overrated as well, leaking goals this season but some ****s on here cannot accept it
Broooo the crap you have to read on here. Fulham were the better team in the reverse fixture?!?!?!?!

Arsenal xG = 3.20
Fulham xG = 0.53

Shots(on target)

Arsenal = 19(11)
Fulham = 8(3)

Possession 71% - 29%

Fulham scored of a Saka backpass and a corner.

How did we not deserve to win that game in your mind?

I wrote in the match thread, it feels like something has happened within the team with the players. It happens in all teams, it's not like everyone gets along at every workplace. Something doesn't look right and I really want to know what it is.

I put a lot of the blame on Arteta, but the players also have to bear some responsibility.

It’s mostly Ødegaard. He’s not a captain, can’t bring the group together and drive standards. He’s mentally shot and that flows through the whole group.

At least we didn't wait till March to bottle it.

Major weakness in side need addressing in summer. Nowhere to cover it up with a title challenge this time.

If Arteta sticks with this team & doesn't bring anyone in then that is just wrong, he's got to bring in a few more players for depth & fresh tactics. The problem is that teams know how to play against us now, it's taken the opposition a while but they've worked us out now. He says he's going to stick with this team. Thats wrong plain & simple. Fresh players will bring in fresh ideas & fresh tactics. Our passing was way too slow allowing the oppostion to get back in time.

Happy new year fellow Gunners!

It’s so easy to defend against us because only Saka, Jesus, and Martinelli have the capabilities to take on the opposition, open them up, and create space. Ødegaard and Rice rarely and forget about whoever plays in the LCM.

That’s why the opposition sits deep and double on our wingers. Then, hit us on the counter. You can’t always open compacted, defensive opposition through just passing. Not only is it easy to block passing lanes, it gives them time to get players behind the ball.

People talking about getting another forward player but that will not solve our inability to keep cleansheets. We need to get a proper B2B player in LCM who we can sort our inbalance in attack and defense. High workrate midfielder, very good dribbler, and a good finisher.

Our poor finishing and lack of defensive solidarity are finally catching us up after we got away in the first few months of the season.

We are in a slump and in dire need of change in both our tactics (slight improvements) and fortune. I hope Arteta won’t take too long in rectifying the mess. We can’t keep playing the same way with the same exact players and hope things change on their own.

The major worry is we keep conceding left, right, and center. Wish we had TP5 available. At least would have allowed us to go double pivot to solidify the back. We almost always have a goal in us.
