Strange posts on the wish list thread here. @SA Gunner wishing for Ceballos over Gundogan. @TinFish wishing for Rice to be our only signing. Thank God for brother @Andrew Cole Linighan to put some desire back on the table.

I’ve been getting vibes about moussa diaby. We have a Jesus/trossard type attackers, cerebral types. Only Martinelli as a direct ball carrier. Saka a bit in between. He can play both flanks, pace+power+dribbling ability, basically skills we’re a bit short of (at least in depth) in attack.

No, I would love another top quality CM this window alongside Rice, or even Maddison.

For some reason, this window apart from Rice I have no idea who we are going to sign and what Arteta wants to strengthen in the first XI.

For quality in depth, we all know the basics of what we need. But I have no idea about his masterplan to further enhance the quality of the first XI....

I’m messing with you bro. I know what you mean.

In general I think his plan for depth is to have a bunch of jack of all trades that can fill in different positions etc. But we do also need some specialist masters who can be difference makers off the bench. Don’t get me wrong I like Trossard but I really don’t want to see another trossard type player come in to beef up our attack.

Ceballos was just a suggestion really, and to be fair he is much improved.

As for Moussa Diaby, yes we are on the same page there. He is my go to signing upfront this summer. A proper outlet and skillfull player at the same time. A must for us IMO.

At the moment we're looking like Xhaka out and Rice in as a like for like replacement. We then need a new forward to backup Saka and add some bench goals.

We've seen Caicedo can play inverted RB and Rice can play CB so I can see us spending the defender budget to up the Caicedo bid. Reull Walters has been training witht he first team as well so thats some extra depth for the cups. It's not ideal but we won't have money for multiple starters and if you can get two guarantteed top players you do that and work out the rest later.

I'd love us to get another top defender but I also wouldn't be concerned if we went into some games with Rice or Caicedo playing some games in defence either and getting them with Ødegaard sets up the midfield for 5-10 years.

Numbers wise we'd have this with just those two signings. You maybe keep Holding for 5th choice if your concerned about numbers but I'd let him walk.

Ramsdale/Turner
White/Walters
Saliba/Tomiyasu
Gabriel/Kiwior
Zinchenko/Tierney
Partey/Caicedo/Jorginho
Rice/ESR
Ødegaard/Vieira
Saka/NEW WINGER
Martinelli/Nelson
Jesus/Trossard/Nketiah

In
Rice
Caicedo
NEW WINGER

Out
Xhaka
Multiple deadwood

Rice, Gündogan a cb/rb hybrid and one Mbappé please.

I’ll take the 2 year transfer ban if that’s what it takes

For all the bad I've said about Edu I'll hand deliver a letter of apology if he got us Osimhen or Mbappe. Mainly Mbappe.
Even if we financially can afford Mbappe, I do not wish to see him playing for Arsenal. His attitude will disrupt the hierarchy on every level. He will be the one who demands every ball. I remember he stop running in the middle of a counter attack because his teammate choose another player to pass the ball to. Furthermore, you will hear him demanding a transfer to Madrid every year.

Mbappe is like my hot, long-hair, six-pack female gym coach. An enjoyment for usual fantasy or even for an episode, but too hot and too high maintenance to be kept in my house.

Also Mikel is not Arsène. I can't see the fit.

Pau Torres is one who reminds me a lot of a left sided John Stones, able to step up in midfield and spray it around and also with European experience, might be one to challenge Gabriel who is a bit messy on the ball.

Rice plays the ball back to his CB a lot, usually Ogbonna/Aguerd play a lot of long balls, we need both our CB's to be able to play it forward with composure.

He has the constitution of a scarecrow & would not survive the rigours of the league. A taller, lankier Fabio Vieira.

In light of the players to which we've been linked:

Mohamed Simakan
Roméo Lavia
Declan Rice
Kai Havertz
Moussa Diaby
So your wishlist is basically the players we’ve been linked with? 😁

Jokes aside I get were you coming from. I’m not sure if I’d have it down as wishlist stuff but this would probably be the best possible outcome given where we are now and a very, very good window all in all

Yeah, more or less. Basically leaving out Castagne, Fresneda, Cancelo, Gündoğan, Tielemans, Mount and Maddison. Caicedo too, but only because I see him as a Rice alternative. Like I said, it's one where I've adjusted it based on the links. For example, I had Mohammed Kudus as my preferred RW option and Diaby as my second, but I bumped Diaby up to #1 because that's the one we've been linked with.
