Ibra would be like Bergkamp for us. He'd be a perfect partner for Walcott and Podolski, but I think his wages are over £420k a week.

Ibrahimovic or even Van Persie sandwiched between Walcott and Podolski would be incredible. I also prefer a speedy CF, but if both of your wide forwards are fast and can attack the box, then it's ideal to have a creative CF who can drop deep. Having either of those two as CF's is only an issue when your wide forwards aren't goalscorers.

Think we should just offer dortmund 35mill for lewandowski since they wont sell to bayern and see if wenger can sell it to lewandowsk.
need a new midfielder to rotate with what arteta does for the team i dont really know who that could be and another Cb

hope we get bernard as well.

Luis Muriel

Good shout, he looks like a very good player. You think he could lead the line on his own?

I don't know anything about him really, just seen a few articles about him this summer from which he seems to have pace, close ball control, good movement and an eye for goal.

I've seen a little of him, he's very fast and an excellent dribbler. I actually think he would bring a similar threat to Suarez (if that's the kind of player we're looking for), but with a level of efficiency in terms of finishing and dynamism on the counter. I haven't seen any examples of his lack of work-rate expressed in the article, but I did read that he has had weight problems a la his hero (Brazil Ronaldo).

He is quite clinical as well. He was productive for Udinese last season considering how many games he missed through injury.

Well, reading the article written, his conversion rate from shots on goal stands around 26%. Lukas Podolski also has a similar conversion rate but the problem with Podolski is that unfortunately he doesn't take many shots. Muriel took less shots than most on the list too if we look at those stats yet still put away a fair amount of his chances.

I would actually be quite happy with a Muriel signing. He would be the injection of pace and invention than we need. His dribbles are consistent and his finishing accurate if we go by this.

He will get plenty created for him here, so I think he'll have a lot more opportunites to take shots.

If we can't get Suárez or Jackson Martínez, then Muriel would be my player of choice to compete with Giroud. He should be pretty easy to get and shouldn't be too expensive either. Plenty will be left for the AM/winger and the CM. He has the perfect attributes to play well in the bigger games when teams push forward more and when there are less chances created, he likes to get in behind and will finish.

In: Fellaini 20-24m, Suarez 45m
Out: Frimpong 3m, Gervinho 8m, Bendtner 4m, Chamakh 2m

Midfield steal and Arguably the leagues best striker (second for me behind Aguero)

I've been a fan of Aguero since he played at independiente but he was nowhere near Suarez and Judas last season. I feel that he's stagnated at City personally. From what he showed in Argentina at 17 and at Atlectio I'd have expected him to be better by now.

Also I'm not sure who'd give us a combined 9 million for a trio of frimong, Bendtner and Chamakh, we'll be lucky to get rid of them at all  At least the latter 2 with their wages.

Agreed. He's a bit injury-prone too, it seems.

He was insanely good for his age at around 17-18, I remember I dreamed of us signing him and even bought an Atlectico shirt with his name when they signed him haha. I honestly thought he was going to be one of the greatest players of the decade but he hasn't really progressed a lot in the last couple of years. He's still very good but I expected more from him, thought he has potential to become something ala what Ronaldo is these days. He's still quite young though.

Injury plagued last season and England is different to Spain in style, trust me he's adapted his game slightly to become more useful for City. He's still a clinical, game changing striker and for me better than RVP and so much more clinical than Suarez that i'd put him as the better striker.

Return to the invincible style of Pace, power, dynamism and directness.

Look at the strength, height and physicality of the spine. Look at the goal potential and proven ability of the front 4. Look how many promising players are on the bench!

Agree, he's actually still one of the best strikers in the world even though he didn't reach the heights you would have expected from him. He had his debut for Independiente after he just turned 15, after his move to Atlético I thought he'd be more around Ronaldo level right now.

We have less than a week to sign Fellaini (if we intended to) before his release clause expires. Not only do I NOT think we'll sign Fellaini, but I also doubt we'll sign ANY of the DM / holding CM types we've been linked to & we'll rely upon internal options to cover Arteta.

de Vrij has looked a solid player from the few times I have seen him, good shout.

Khedira would be brilliant too.

Arsenal Quotes

This is a big moment of happiness...we waited a long time for this and the happiness is linked sometimes with the suffering, and the time that you have to wait....this was more important than all the other (trophies) we have twice won the double, but were not under pressure then like we were today.
