The Wish List

Im not so sure. The sticking point always seems to have been his loyalty to Juve. But that seems to be running low at the moment. If he truly wants to go, he'll hand in a transfer request and Juve will sell him.

I see that f365 has us linked to KJH to come until the end of the season, but apparently we're not happy with his wage demands of 65k per week.

I wish we were actually going to buy somebody

Aint that the truth. Our best chance to win the league in years , a squad clearly in need of 2 quality additions and 40 million to spend.

I will puke if he buys no one and will happily show him the door at the end of another trophy less season.

we dont need to spend 40 million (unless its on david villa anyway) but we do need two new additions. i think KJH on loan can do us no harm whatsoever and then a CM/DM like flamster on loan would set us up nicely for the remainder of the season.

we're not signing KJH on loan or permanently in January.. Milan are still in the CL and still "technically" in the title race.. they cant rely on Boriello and Pippo for the rest of the season.. Pato is currently hurt (although he should be back in a little bit).. they dont really have that many striking options to sell one of them.. look at us, we have like 7 striker options and we were down to 2 at one point..

Why not go for Robinho? He could be perfect upfront. He's able to keep the ball and/or make the difference on his own. I believe he could fit in perfectly.

And weren't we interested some time ago?

I would take Robinho, actually - forget all this nonsense about Babel, if you're looking for a talented player needs the 'right environment' to flourish, then Robinho should be that man.

That said, he looks pretty set on going back to Brazil, and he really is damaged goods, so...

Chalk up another to the trigger happy mods! Here's hoping we sign Smalling anyway

Trigger happy mods?

It's about as official as they come, including the Premier League website.

Its all regurgitated stuff though. Wenger said as much earlier, that it wasn't done. Its the same article being requoted. I mean, it looks likely, but why lock the thread today? Trigger happy in the sense that I think its really silly that this forum gets policed so heavily. Whats the harm in leaving the thread open for a day? 15 more posts?

Fulham can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Manchester United for the transfer of Central Defender Chris Smalling.

Should a successful medical be completed and final terms agreed the player will join Sir Alex Ferguson’s team at the start of the 2010/2011 season, staying at Fulham for the remainder of the current season

Argh!

That is why Wenger like to keep this transfer below the surface.

Looks like that we make an approach first, but at the end another club had wrapped up the deal...

We lowballed it, someone else came in and offered more, we didn't match it, player went.

The chance was there to take him, but since it wasn't a bargain I'm sure Wenger decided to give up.

He will probably end up regretting it.
