• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Pauleta in 5th is a surprise, even if it's just Ligue 1. Proper streets won't forget baller

There was a chip he scored against Barthez that was used in a Top 10 goals collection on FIFA 2006 (set to Black And White by The Doves) that's just a lovely bit of nostalgia 😍

Never understood why FIFA did those highlight packages in FIFA 06 and 07, then just stopped.

The PL one with Helicopter by Bloc Party was goated.

Also David Villa in third. I swear the guy is actually underrated when you talk about top strikers.

Gets lumped in with Torres who it pains me to say was a clear level below. Villa was that guy for most of his career.
Villa is below just Henry in that list, Eto'o and Sheva maybe at a stretch. Scored ****loads for some absolute **** teams then Valencia, then turned himself into a winger in a tiki taka system winning the CL and league then went back to Atletico and won another title as you probably know.

Forget Torres he pisses on Raul imo. Villa is HiMmM.

Also he was the don in that 2010 World Cup. Absolute demon.

Villa wanted to join us in the summer of 2008, think he was good friends with Cesc...he wouldn't shut up about how good we were before the Euros.

Wish we sold Adebayor (who didn't even want to play for us post 07/08 anyway) and bought David.

Also think he wanted to sign before he went to Atletico.

Might have had enough to get over the line in 2013/14 with his know how.

Thierry Henry 2008/2009...42 games, 26 goals, 11 assists and a Treble winner.

Think his spell at Barcelona is very underrated.
