Real Madrid aren’t even anything special this year. Both Liverpool and Tottenham have been an utter disgrace in the CL this season.

CL has dropped off quite a lot this season. Madrid are winning on muscle memory. Pool, PSG, Spuds, Atletico, Barca and Juve have been pants. And Manchester City are only relevant because of some honey monster upfront.

I’d love for a club like Napoli to win it this year.

Guess it’s down to us to save and revive that competition next season.

Thing is he took over clubs that weren't competing for titles and made them do that.

We are talking about Kings of Europe. A team that has had a plethora of stars at or near peak. This is no where near Galactico talent of early 2000s or even comparable to teams that lost to Milan in the 80s and 1990s. It is Madrid level but an average Madrid side, a great side for other clubs but Modric and Kroos are 100 how can they better than the players they were 5 years ago or 7 years ago? They can’t best an ordinary Barca side of babies in financial crisis for league that United just spanked. Madrid has everything you describe and more at least their good and great sides had that bit extra. This just an average Madrid side not good, not great by their own lofty legacy

Ok how are Kroos, Bemzema, modric, Carvhal better than the players they were a few years ago when they played with a still dominating Ronaldo?
