Has this Arsenal fan jumped the gun on Benzema?

Transfer season wouldn’t be called the silly season without a bit of craziness, with clubs scrambling to strengthen and fans clamouring with excitement. It is the latter that perhaps justify the “silly” tag, with fantasies and rumours often driving supporters to do things beyond relief. This last viral just might take the cake as far as Arsenal are concerned this summer, and thanks to social media the world gets to partake in the comedy.

While I respect and admire the passion, it is safe to say this decision was a bit of a lapse in judgment. What if Benzema doesn’t join? What if he does join, but doesn’t choose number 9? The caption says it all really, and it is clear this lad is not all the way there.

All jokes aside, the majority of Arsenal fans wish for the same thing Callum wishes for, even if we won’t go out and prematurely purchase a kit.

Benzema is the man we believe will take Arsenal to the next level, and I suppose you cannot fault this lad’s optimism. As hilarious as this is, we will all remember this tweet if it turns out Callum is bang on, and Benzema does indeed become Arsenal’s new number 9.

For now though, let’s just enjoy the humour for what it is.
