Said it in the summer, more sure now, 100% we’re in the Champions League next season.

If we lost this match (Villa) I would have said to you that it doesn't necessarily matter that United and Chelsea are in worse situations, we would not be guaranteed to finish above a club such as WHU that could possibly over-perform to beat us for the top 4. Luckily we did win.

yep, Manu and Chelsea are in shambles, way worse than us.. Can't afford to miss out on top 4 this year when they are so weak. Ideally Emery is let go regardless if the performances doesn't improve, but if not you live with it and suffer for another year.

We’d be mad to extend his contract at the end of this season, top four or not, unless the performances drastically improve.

Sacking him while we’re still in a good position points-wise is a trickier shout however. Wouldn’t personally be tempted unless a manager you know will make an impact right away, i.e. Rodgers or Allegri, expresses an interest. Need to avoid a Solskjaer panic appointment at all costs.

No manager steps aside for someone else like that, it’s a **** move.

Ivan was running the club.

What ****ing **** move?

Everyone could see the great work done by Klopp at Dortmund and Wenger was at retirement time.

The club should have been proactive and secured the next level for the club.

It was a failure that they did not.

The club should’ve done it, but you you can’t expect Wenger himself to step aside for Klopp.

A poster was defending Emery and saying we have s*** players in our team that's why we can't play good football. ironically, it was moment of individual brilliance that got us this win rather than the manager's tactical changes.

All this win does mask our real problem and make the manager look good. We all have eyes. we can see the s*** football on display. Any half competent manager will not pick xhaka in his team.

So, we're saying that the 11 players we have on the pitch can't put play fluid and free flowing football?

In Wenger's worst years, we'd have put 5 past this current villa team at home and we'd have done it in style.

Emery was supposed to come and make us hard to beat, now it seems opponent create more chances against us than ever. At least, under wenger, we knew our defense was s***, but at least we use to control games, but now we play like the under dog and invite pressure on our self.

he's been here for 15 months, I'll say that's enough time to implement his style of play. What gets me angry is that we're still making excuses for him

Yeah, he was available in the summer. So Wenger could've taken a higher role at the club.

Match made in heaven, it would've been.

Emery really isn't covering himself in glory at the moment. Considering he keeps playing xhaka and AMN.

Still going to give him the benefit of the doubt until we get bellerin and tierney. However he seems like an over thinking bottle job.

Inter did the same with Spaletti he done what they asked him to do that get top 4 but he got fired because the performance wasn't great. I can see the same happening with Emery unless he change his style

Italian clubs change managers all the time, culture is different in England.

What are you on about man?

This isnt about ego or being too big to step aside. The continuity of the football club is what should matter first and foremost.

It should have been actioned and the management, including Wenger, is to blame for letting Klopp go like that.
