Ten years would include a season where RvP was scoring goals for fun, Alexis, etc. You’re probably not that far off really because our transfer activity over the last ten years has been horrendous, but getting value for the 42m fee which was massive back then is dubious, even based on performances during his initial contract, but is also in part because the club failed with getting the right players to play alongside him. Regardless, we have different views on Özil looking back, agree to disagree, and the club and fanbase can move on.
