Good move for Ainsley to be honest.

Needs to prove himself outside his comfort zone in his favoured position (presumably). If he does, I would be happy to have him back.

He has the right temperament on the pitch, but probably too chilled out for his own good. Needs to have an animal mentality off the pitch if he is to succeed.

Surprised to hear Willock is away for 18 months. Newcastle on the verge of sacking their manager and always in line for a takeover from out of space. A lot of factors likely to be out of our control. Biggest concern is a change in manager.

18 months is good tbh. They're unlikely to go down and he's not getting in our midfield unless he improves.

Hopefully things at Newcastle improve, else the loan doesn't really make sense for him because he won't learn what he needs, to excel at a defined role.

As for AMN, he can look at Gibbs and see what comes next for his career I guess.

The news said that all parties have to agree for him to continue in Newcastle next year.

The length of the contract is hardly a problem. Arsenal or Willock or Newcastle can choose otherwise in the summer.

Knew he wasn't really getting into the team anymore but 2m is a hilariously low price.

Liverpool kids without a minute of PL action get a lot more than that.

We've tried to sell him since the we bought him, I'm surprised by nothing. You just have to hope we learn the lessons (Willian suggests otherwise)

Solid window, a bunch of dead wood out and some minor reinforcements in. Reasonably well placed for summer.

Doubt he agrees to 18 months without a break clause Arsenal can activate

Europe wide this has to be the most boring January deadline day ever. Understandable given the circumstances.
