Genuine question, why do we always start the season with 2 big games in the first 3-4 games? For example United doesnt get their first big game until the end of October, they get to play themselves into form while we get thrown into crisis situations in August.

Tactically this is the worse I have seen arsenal. Arteta constantly putting square pegs in round holes for no reason. Tierney has played left center bk for us a few times....why put kola there who we all know is poor in a 4 because his positioning and actual defensive ability. Also we are trying to get him out the club so why isn't tavares playing? Why are we asking esr and Ødegaard to defend as if they were cms...we have elneny and sambi on the bench who at least they that position.

I don't even blame xhaka, these players must all be so angry and confused at these lineups. Arteta has to go, we don't defend well, we don't attack well. When was the last time any of us enjoyed an arsenal game. We played better football under emery.

So what? The better question is why are we chronically underprepared in the first ~5 games of the season.
