Since those two players were loaned out we’ve had one or two more injuries (Kolasinac and Cedric) and three “knocks” (Chambers, Saka and Tierney). How are we supposed to foresee that? The whole point of the rule is to protect the welfare of the players, so they shouldn’t be putting us in a situation where we’d play a player risking further injury.
