Ironic that we are moaning about defenders. I don't know what this guy is. Looks fast and able to dribble and shoot. He looks like a tricky winger but he plays Lb or rb.

Ye I just watched that compilation against Germany someone posted and there wasn’t a single tackle in there 😭 😭

Looked decent though

There was a last ditch tackle towards the very end. You turned off too soon

Yeah I never make it to the end of those.

What’s the Turkish insider verdict on him anyway, you’ve probably seen more of him than most here?

Seen him play dozens of times.

Came to Fenerbahçe as an attacking midfielder. Performed decently as a left winger but couldn't become a permanent starter. Then converted into a full-back and became a starter, eventually broke into the NT and he's currently Turkey's #1 LB and #2 RB, almost certainly going to start in the Euros. Can play both effectively. Doesn't really play as an inverted FB for Fenerbahçe or Turkey, but he does roam quite a bit, and would be effective in the role.

Technically sound. Good ball retention, good passer of the ball, especially adept at playing one-twos with midfielders and wingers. His combinations with Arda Güler on the right wing produced many highlights for Fenerbahçe last season. Good crosser of the ball. Prefers to operate in the middle section of the field rather than being deep or getting to the byline.

Not much of a defender. Not the quickest or strongest player. Requires protection from his LCB. He does try to compete defensively, but simply doesn't have the athleticism or the nous required.

All in all, very similar player to Zinchenko.

Literally nothing like Zinchenko.

I'm not ITK or watch Turkish ball mate, I just watched all of the video

My expert opinion, having learnt his name today and watched a 3 miniute video of him, is that he looks like a bit of a baller. Could be a new tactic, ball playing fullbacks, non ball playing lumps like Onana smashing everyone in the transitions

I wondered if he speaks English, as he was born in Netherlands and played there until his teens.

Found this, it says he speaks fluent English. It's great so there won't be Kiwior situation where the player can't communicate properly. It's important on and off field with other players, and to be comfortable in England.

But yeah, he can even play on the wings, so Arsenal could sell some player to fund it, to have LB depth this season. And you're not stuck with a player who can't defend well as LB, if that happens later and he doesn't develop it, but a versatile player who can give attacking fullback option, and rotate wings also if needed.
They are looking to strengthen their defence and attack this summer making Kadioglu as he can also comfortably play on either flank and in wing-back as well as winger positions.
Kadioglu is a Turkiye international but was born in the Netherlands and speaks fluent English.

The people who wanted lb, rb, rw, lw, dm and am will all be happy. 6 players in 1.

I just want some specialists ffs. Midfielders who can fkn progress the ball and link defence with attack, and strikers who can score fkn goals 😭

All you end up with if you go down this jack of all trades master of none route is a bulletproof squad that can deal with injuries and give you a solid 6.5/10 performance every week. No more, no less.

You don’t win trophies with 6.5/10 performances though…

Just to be clear before someone jumps on me, I am not against versatile players, they are important for cover. But they are very much secondary to getting your first XI of players locked and loaded and we have at least 2 if not 3 problem positions in our first XI that need looking at…

Oh and this isn’t a slight on this ferdi fella, I literally know nothing about him.

Highly doubt we’re signing some random bloke from Turkey.
This is Arsenal, it's in our DNA to sign randoms for no reason.
We signed a dog shagger from Portugal.
We signed a Bengali impersonating a Brazilian.
We signed a midget with veneers to be our goalkeeper.
We signed Havertz.
We signed Pablo Mari and Runnarson
It is not beneath Edu or Arteta to sign an Uber delivery driver to be our new fullback.

So this guy is basically Zinchenko but he dribbles instead of passes?

And shoots too apparently.

It’s not the worst thing tbh as Martinelli will finally get an overlap again. But if Zinny is out and we stick with Havertz then we REALLY will struggle with central progression. It will be horrific.

Arsenal Quotes

I believe the target of anything in life should be to do it so well that it becomes an art.
When you read some books they are fantastic, the writer touches something in you that you know you would not have brought out of yourself. He makes you discover something interesting in your life.
If you are living like an animal, what is the point of living? What makes daily life interesting is that we try to transform it to something that is close to art. And football is like that.
