Maybe

You're wrong, no?
We're lucky that this guy has some market value while being absolutely average, we should accept the next offer without any hesitation.
In general he was average, but he has some standout abilities that could be used better than what we did.
I wouldn't accept anything bellow 35m. A player that can turn the pace of the game on his own will always have value on the market, and Iwobi does have that.

The thing is, Everton are stupid enough to offer more than that.

I'm worried that Everton won't come back with another offer.

That’s what I’ve been worried about as soon as we rejected that offer.

The past few seasons we’ve been offered good fees for our deadwood.

Iwobi 30m (Everton)

Chambers 20m (Leicester)

Elneny 10m (Leicester)

That’s 60m right there that could have improved the squad. I’m praying that Everton come back in for him.

Iwobi's a good impact player off the bench, but as a starter looks like a completely different prospect

Worth keeping as a specialist sub?

Nah, take the money

To be honest, I wouldn't say those figures are that spectacular at all given the current climate.

Tyrone Mings went for 25m this summer. A player with a grand total of 17 PL appearances, Chambers has played over 100 PL appearances. Maguire went for 80m. I'd say based off those numbers we'd be ripped off to accept anything less than 30m, unless we were getting a nice hefty sell on clause included.

Iwobi is a similar position really - over 100 PL appearances for a young player who is not unwanted by his current club. Would be mad to accept £30m. Somewhere near £40-45m is about the right valuation for him (again unless including a hefty sell on clause).

Elneny is probably the only one here that now in hindsight looks like we should have sold for £10m. But I think most of that is down to him being frozen out under Emery. It's hard to get good value for players you clearly do not want

Arsenal Quotes

A manager is a guide. He takes a group of people and says: "With you I can make us a success; I can show you the way".
