Re: David Silva linked

Will be a very good buy if he is 15-20m.

Otherwise it will be overrated to me

Re: David Silva linked

Not a massive fan, certainly wouldnt be spending £20m on him if it was my decision. £10m on a keeper and £10m on a CB would be much better value for money.

A Rosicky type player just what we need if you ask me

Exactly, would bring a lot to our team. But the price and the fact that Wenger might not really be interested in him are points to consider. Besides if he was available, a lot of clubs would be after him effectively pricing us out.

Re: David Silva linked

If we were to specialise the midfield roles to a DM, CM and AM, I think he could play as the furthest midfielder, although I'd prefer Nasri in the role.

Re: David Silva linked

I dont see Silva as a midfielder like Rosicky. He's clearly more an forward playing as a winger or as a second striker. More an Arshavin type. I rate him highly and I think that we will see great things from him at the World cup.

63 minutes into Valencia - Bilbao and he's scored two goals. Looks like a neat little player. Neat and little. Neat. And little. Doesn't it sound familiar?

Re: David Silva linked

Sign this guy up and we will have a player who knows how to play as a winger. Its strange that we play with players who dont even know how to play as a real wing forward. Nasri/Shava/Rosicky/Eddy/Eboué are all unfamiliar to play there.

Don't worry, Nasri is "better", Silva's just "overrated"

heh.

On a serious note, would love him at the club on the left wing.

You do know right that Silva is not a left winger. He can play there, but he's best position is on the center. This year, he and Banega has been one of the better central duo in La Liga. He don't really have penetrative run nor bursting speed to actually succeed on left wing in EPL.

Normally, Emery plays Mata or Vicente on the left wing.

Re: David Silva linked

But how does Silva fare in the centre? Do you think he can get used to the physical challenges of the Premier league?

I think he is a bit too lightweight and lack of defensive ability to play in mid for us

I disagree, something like this is quite feasible.

DM- Song and Eastmond.

CM- Fabregas and Denilson

AM- Silva and Diaby/Nasri.

Yeah i know that he is only an occasional Left winger, but Wenger has done the same with Nasri, Rosicky etc and played them on the wings even with lack of speed. Atleast with Silva he already has some experience playing on the left.

Just saying that should he come to the club which is highly unlikely, we can definitely use his versatility. He can also do a much better job than Nasri i feel in central midfield as a partner to Cesc with a solid defensive midfielder behind them.

Yea lets get another player with no balls, speed, strength to run at players on the wing.

ffs we had hleb who at least ran at players, kept the ball and was quick to get the team in the box and yet everyone hated him and now they wants nasri, silva, rosicky, players who can only work a wing at kfc and have only been part of a happy ending in a massage parlour.

Re: David Silva linked

lol Thegame heh, loved the bit about the wing at KFC.

I think Silva is similar to hleb if not better with more attacking threat on him.

And for the record i always supported Hleb when he was here.

If we sign him we could make Fabregas happy and staying for a few more years.

Quality player, definitely worth £17m in this market. I can't see him choosing us over Real though.

I hope that wasn't serious. The state of sycophancy towards Cesc is bad enough already at our club.
