Tbf Upamecano is one of the players in the rumour mill who you'd think logically will leave their club. Year left on the contract, Leipzig will probably see this as the perfect time to sell and make way for their next talent.

Whether it's to Arsenal, though, is a whole different question.

Nice reminder that our first link to this guy was not only four years ago, but also a classic of the "black footballer accompanied by image of a different black footballer" genre.

Also what happened to Messi Minutes? That dude was everywhere back in the day.
He still in twitter but not very active

Release clause ends in 30 of June so we can get him for 30-40M.

It was more the article saying that we are ready to pay the release clause. Can perhaps give us a slim slim chance if we are negotiating & talking about £30M - £40M, & even then only if we get the sales we need.

Let's just sit back for a moment and play the hypothetical game that all of that would be true and it would not affect the partey deal, which in turn is assumed to happen..

I think we can agree on those two deals being way more than what we would espect and it would address our key problems pretty well, so it would be really harsh to criticize the board for that.

Yet, wouldn't it make more sense to go for someone pretty much as promising as him like Gabriel and still have like 30m for a good RB ?

Think too many high profile targets are risky considering how much the success of those deals will determine as to what we will be able to do in the future.

Would much rather go for slightly less high profile targets and you'd be able to fix more issues.

Football is a bit like elections. Before it's unpredictable. After it's unexplainable... But there's an opportunity for us to make it unforgettable.
