Both had absolutely dire midfields though. Song and a post injury Ramsey with Diaby and Wilshere out all year was brutal stuff.

Yeah,but Song,Ramsey and Rosicky were still better than this current midfield.Song was very imporant player in that season and along RVP he was probably our best player.Rosicky was also good,while Ramsey was really bad,don't know how he played that 2014 so opposite than that.
If compare every position from both squads,probably 9 players from 2011/12 were better than this one.
