Subbed off. Didn't look happy.
He's gotten injuries very often so I think they're managing him with that in mind. He's had a lot of injuries in the last few years, since becoming a scholar he's had at least one injury that's taken a chunk off of his playing time.I think he has a problem with his fitness levels. Doesn’t play for a full 90 minutes often. I wonder if he’s asthmatic or a smoker when he was young. I don’t think anyone questions his ability, I think it’s a question if he can adjust to the intensity of a pressing game Arteta has in mind.
I see. I hope he gets over those injuries man. I really do. It’s so heartbreaking to watch a talented footballer get betrayed by their own body. He's gotten injuries very often so I think they're managing him with that in mind. Promising - can see he's not quite at full confidence yet but his driving runs from deep are dangerous and he can play good balls into the forward line. There's a lot to work with here.
I like how Rosicky/Cazorla and now ESR always made themselves available in unmarked space, creating passing options for their teammates to support the attack. Pass the ball, make themselves available, pass the ball, make themselves available......These are attacking midfielders who are actively involved in play.I love his drive towards the opposition, makes me think of Rosicky.
What a player we have...
He still needs to work on his final third play. Rarely seems to spot a killer ball.Is it terrible that i'm not on the ESR train yet? Like I see positives signs in what he's doing on the pitch and i'm not writing him off obviously, but I can't say I've seen him do anything that made me think we have a potential star here. Glad to be proved wrong though.
What is the play style of ESR for those of you who watch him. If you have to compare him to current footballer, who may that be?
He's got to be passing at 1:07.
Nah you're right. Is it terrible that i'm not on the ESR train yet? Like I see positives signs in what he's doing on the pitch and i'm not writing him off obviously, but I can't say I've seen him do anything that made me think we have a potential star here. Glad to be proved wrong though.
Nah you're right.
Its just his technical base, athleticism and unique blend of agility and height that make him special.
There's nothing he's exceptional at right now but the technique he has means he could easily add stuff like shooting and long passing to his game. It's like when good players suddenly become good at free kicks, some guys are just good with the ball in all ways if that makes sense?
Maybe comaprable to de Brunye? Very good passer, taking the ball forward. I don't no about his shooting skills. I guess he's more of a dribbler than de Bruyne. What is the play style of ESR for those of you who watch him. If you have to compare him to current footballer, who may that be?
