You know what? If we can't beat them right now while we're on a winning streak, then why bother waiting until the finals?
We can beat Athletico, just as much as we can lose to them, and I'm betting on us to win.
I'm also going to predict a Wilshere revival, and for Welbeck to keep his current run of form.

We're supposed to be fans. Let's get behind the club and support them.
I'm excited, this will be a good/great pair of games!

We examine everything a little too much. Most people are quaking in their boots at the prospect of Atletico. I'd argue if you asked Atletico who they wanted to avoid, it would be us.

Doubt it. We are laughing stock in Europe. Barcelona and Munchen are relieved when they draw us in europe and two times CL finalists in recent years like At. Madrid are probably on the same page.

It may be lower. But we have a higher stock than Marseille and Salzburg. We are a much stronger proposition than either of them considering that we are capable of beating Chelsea over two legs.

Salzburg and Marsielle are unwritten paper in At. Madrid eyes. They know that there are 11 guys who will give everything into it. With Arsenal you never know which Arsenal will show up but for manager like Simone he has pretty good idea about trigger effects. Slightest frustration, a little press, put them a little off their game and Arsenal will channel their inner CharityFC. These days we are lot closer to disgusting **** ups than our sunny days brilliance.

Simone eat such a weak mentality teams for breakfast. We were the draw they wanted while our manager said several times he wanted to avoid At. Madrid.

I am sorry. But there is absolutely no way that Atletico would rather face those two teams than us. We are more experienced over two leg affairs vs Champions League calibre teams. We are in a good vain of form and we simply have better players.

We obviously have the ability to be terrible but we are also capable of destroying Atletico and they will know that.

Simone is one of the best manager in the world and is specialist in setting up a defensive units. He is also ready to go dirty. All that Wenger and his players **** their pants about. Simone has done incredible job with At. Madrid specially in Europe where we have failed badly.

Simone is one of the best manager in the world. He looks also very nice, a handsome fellah you would expect he was ready to sell you speed. Brilliant human being.

It's the toughest draw for us but we never underestimate clubs that are performing better than we are. We have to keep a clean sheet at home and maybe take a lead and thereafter,I think Wenger will play a more pragmatic game that still has us playing on the front foot. My wish-that we win the next 3 EL games :)

Can't make his mind up
We can hang with anyone when we turn up. If you look at quality of players and performances in the EL this season, I would wager the average Atletico fan would like to have avoided us.

Is it a dead rubber though? If we end up finishing the PL 7th then I dont think we get EL next season. For the club that is a big financial loss as we have made quite a bit from this seasons EL, similar to what we do in CL group phase (and then we go out anyway) Also its still Utd and history will only show win or lose.

That can be a blessing. No European distractions can only be good for us.

And I doubt anyone connected to the club would want us playing simultaneous seasons in The Europa League regardless of our current campaign yielding the trophy itself.

Agreed. I mean, if we were holding a big aggregate lead and suddenly were giving up goals and one goal away from losing...we'd totally choke.

No one looks past anyone. Only fans do that.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
