League is very weak

On this day, in 2002, Arsenal won the title at Old Trafford.

Makes me sad, actually, on a personal level, because thinking back to this games brought back other memories, hits you how time flies and things change.

They were about the same age as our current squad when they won that trophy. So how is it that they look like men and the current lot look like boys?

I know he's the one who shall not be named here, but I thought this was a nice piece about RVP, a story from his youth until now. With some nice words for Arsenal and Wenger. No one probably cares but anyway http://www.theguardian.com/football/blo ... h-football

Poor Kolo's got Malaria again. I remember him getting it when he was with us. Never came back the same.

Wow, that's horrible. Hopefully he will recover to good health soon.

Can we still call him a money grabbing bastard now if he takes a pay cut?

Fabregas just seen watching the mens final at Wimbledon, clearly wishing to remain incognito in the most ridiculous head attire of a massive baseball cap (pulled down), and huge black shades that cover the rest of his face. I think he's just going to hide when he's not on a pitch playing football for Chelsea.

Loads of bigger stars than Cesc are in the crowd in no disguise at all. Maybe Cesc is just paranoid for some reason.

Apparently Man City are getting all their players on lower wages but are loading a series of massive bonuses onto the contracts instead as a way to get around FFP.

i.e. He'll probably be earning a bonus every time he gets out of bed in the morning.

How does that work? Whether they pay the money in wages or in bonuses, they're still spending it. How does that circumvent FFP?

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
