Freddie played well today, but let's not get carried away - 1 good game out of 20 is not a statistic that will guarantee him a place ahead of Rosicky or Hleb.

Why?
Freddie wasn't MOTM today.
It's a reflection on Freddie that he has one decent game and everyone is creaming.
Adebayor, Toure, Fabregas, Clichy and Djourou were all better than Freddie today.

You really dont like Freddie do you? If Hleb did what Freddie did today we wouldnt have heard the end of it!!

it wasn't 'great'; it was good, but i can see how some would think it was great as freddie has been s***e for nearly two years now and even the slightest improvement in form would seem like a giant step in the right direction...
patrick42uk said:no one seems to have a problem with cesc doing it. its always one rule for the favorites and another for the others.
patrick42uk said:if hleb put in a performance like that, which he obviously couldnt cos they are different players, he'd get a 9. why? because freddie's contribuiton can be less obvious, off the ball, whilst hleb's contribution is on the ball in a sylish manner.
ultimately, neither leads to goals or assists (i.e. direct impact) because they are both players who depend on better players to make them look good.
