Looks as if Wenger assessed Clichy's fitness, has seen that he can be trusted now and didn't move for Bale.

He does like Bale, but with Clichy having a great season imo, and proving his fitness, Traore coming through and Gallas and Hoyte being able to play there, we have much more pressing issues than spending £10m on a left back that might not be first choice.

ManU won't be signing anybody else if the Berbatov rumours are true.

They dont need to sign anyone else imo,Hargreaves is like signing a few players he's quite good on either wing for a dm,he has great pace,a good cross and is decent as a fullback as well..Berbatov alongside Rooney and Ronaldo and the ever dependable Solskjaer and Smith should mean plenty of goals...If they keep Saha then there going to take some beating..

Most Utd fans I speak to think Solskjaer is finished, as much as they adore him, yet most Arsenal fans in this forum, who probably have barely seen him think he's still the same player as he was 5 years ago.

And they need a winger much more than they need a striker, at the very least it would be an equally important objective. Giggs has been awful since roughly January and other than Ronaldo they dont really have any other quality options on the wings.

I think people who go and watch United everygame are better judges on their own players than you using stats. And Sabre, YBF and Kel do not = many.

I think people who go and watch United everygame are better judges on their own players than you using stats. And Sabre, YBF and Kel do not = many.

Ive watched him and he doesnt look finshed to me...he's a reliable goalscorer..you need those in a squad

Spot on. And the reason for that is that most fans watch their own team play, and then watch highlights from other matches.

As a result, you only see the best bits of other players - but when you watch them every week, you realise that even Ronaldo trips over his laces sometimes
