League is very weak
Like Sp**s, they won't make a move until they're close to an agreement with another manager. Sp**s were briefing that Poch had one game to save his job a week before they sacked him.

Things move quickly in football, I really believe that failing to beat the bottom club Norwich next Sunday will make his position untenable.
Think they’re buying time till the summer. Someone like Arteta is not available before then.

Feels weird though, Emery not cutting it, Raul feeding Balague and Balague basically now the spokesman for the Spanish Bum Mafia running the club.

Biding time for what? If the results carry on at this pace, the club will end up with 53 points which is usually good enough for 8th place on average. This will be a much less attractive job in the summer if half of the first XI want to leave and there's no European football. Probably be a diminished transfer budget as well after 3 seasons of no CL.

That's not a good picture you are painting there. Something a Sp**s fans on here would love to see though.

Was Arteta really the “integral” reason for the change? More than them going ham in the transfer market?

The players and Pep him self have sing the praises to Arteta for his coaching abilities since he started training them. Its a great manager and top players praising him. That has to account for something?

Or are you saying squad cost did all the work?

Arteta is a huge gamble if it goes wrong then where do we go after that?

He was assistant in Pep’s first season when they did f*ck all.
Greasy Mik was looking for an easy coaching gig, and Pep couldn't say no to his old pal and lent a hand.

Someone needs to leak this powerpoint presentation, because how on earth could he go from being not even considered to getting the job when it was almost certain that someone else was getting it.

I honestly think this is all Raul's doing, most others were content with Arteta getting it but Raul then piped up and Ivan being the coward he is just went with it.

We can only hope Arteta can forgive us.

People who gamble are the winners in life, people who always go safe don't accomplish anything. It's time to gamble. Emery was the safe option. Safe has got us behind Sheffield United.
Too right.

The other thing to remember is the gamble options are a **** load cheaper than the sure bets. Not that you want to skimp on something as important as a coach

Don’t think we’ll carry on like this though, we’ll go on a run and close the gap. Next 3/4 games should bring in 10-12 points.

While it looks really hard to imagine us going on a run, considering we struggle to beat any team at the moment. I still think it doesn't really take much alterations for us to beat the **** teams. A slight shift in Emery's mentality and I can see us getting 10-12 like you said.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
