Former Gunners defender Gilles Grimandi - now a scout for the London club - has been impressed by Perrin's performances in Ligue 1 and has reportedly been giving a glowing recommendation to his former boss Arsène Wenger.

I don't much about him, so can anyone give a description of him please. All I know about him is this:

Country: France
Age: 21 years
Date of birth: August 7, 1985
Birthplace: Saint-Etienne
Height: 1m79
Weight: 73 kg
Position: Midfield
Current club: Saint-Etienne

And also that he has recently been out for 8 months with a knee injury...

I think that quote from Hill-Wood is him talking about Flamini and not Perrin.

I agree.

"We have made him [Flamini] a proposal," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.

"We have heard from his representatives but they have not given us a response."

It's much, much more likely Hill-Wood was talking about Flamini and not this other random player.

Was going to post it until I saw who wrote it. Stammers is always shooting in the dark.

Don't think Wenger wants another old versatile squaddy type either, we need prime year starting players.

Formerly known as ArsenaLover
29 year old defender who made ASSE very stabile club, got tons of praises, loyal and leader, has football IQ, surely doesnt look like a bad idea as 3rd CB at all.

I like his profile, every little thing about it.
I for one see Chambers as central player, not a fullback. Is it a DM or CB, I am not sure yet, but with squad we have, someone like Perrin sounds just about perfect for our defensive puzzle

A 29 year old bargain-bucket player from Ligue 1? Do not want. We need a starting quality CB/DM. No more squaddies.
