What the ****, didnt expect this transformation. I guess this is what happens when you have set yourself up for life and have more time on your hands. This is would be multiple hours a day?

You know, my dislike for him seems to have vaned somewhat in recent years or so. Distance makes the heart grow fonder?
Rewatched that Napoli goal of his the other night and it’s probably one of my favourite goals last decade or so. Class finish!

Jokes aside - in my opinion, a multi millionaire with a lot of time on his hands, optimal sleep patterns and chef on board probably (and flattering pictures with the right lighting)- these results are definitely attainable for a former pro athlete without steeds.

His facial structure changing a bit, not being tested anymore and access to the finest PEDs/doctors are the only reasons I wouldn't 100% rule it out though. Regardless I rate the transformation.

Not as good transformation as this, something that even @Hunta would approve

Someone who isn't naturally a muscular guy doesn't just turn into a vascular shredded freak like that in a year without ped abuse, especially not at 35.
But could just be a sick pump and camera angles, hard to tell from one picture. but looks very sus

I'd say it's been atleast 2 years. I'm 36 and whilst I cannot claim to have anything near those abs, suggesting hypertrophy doesn't happen in mid thirties is laughable.

His other pics are not that impressive it's just when you compare him to his scrawny player days. You can't conclude from abs alone.

Gunner come out of the closet any day now…
He's far from the first footballer to get bigger post playing career.

Adding muscle while you're playing professional football is incredibly difficult as you're burning a ton of calories daily just doing your job, your diet is micromanaged with football performance in mind and doing exercises that promote upper body muscle growth might actually be detrimental to your health playing football.

Once you retire you can turn that drilled fitness discipline towards more aesthetically focused things and you regain control of your diet.

Or you can just say **** it and try to get the shape of an actual football, like Rooney.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
