Imagine signing a striker for Arsenal at 70M and he's probably not better than Rashford.

You really like Rashford don't you?

I thought he had a very poor season. So much expected, didn't really do much. Has been poor for England whenever he's been selected too.

I think he's a very good young player, don't think he's a special young player though.

Morata's two seasons at Juventus as a starter: 7 goals and 8 goals. Yes, he scored 15 goals last year for Madrid but he genuinely only played against the worst teams in la liga. Six of his 15 league goals came against CD Leganes (#17 in the table) and Granada (#20 in the table, relegated). He's strong for la liga defenders but that will not be the case in the PL. He'going to struggle to score more than 10 league goals next year, especially in Mourinho's system.

He is going to be signed over guys like Lacazette, Aubemayang because he fits the profile of a Mourinho system. 6ft 2', great hold up play and technical abilities. It's a shame we aren't signing Belotti though, seems like a ruthless scorer but Morata has some brilliant attributes leading the line and some of the goals he's scored in his minutes for Madrid have been incredible.

Also very harsh to criticise him on the sample of teams he played against because those were the only games he got opportunities. He didn't play vs Atletico, Barca or Sevilla at all last season. By your logic, would he be more impressive if he didn't score against those lesser teams? He showed he's a big game player for Juventus.

In his two seasons at Juventus, he only scored 15 league goals. And yes, it matters that he scored against weak teams. Granada and Leganes allowed 137 goals last season, they were simply terrible defensively. And he was playing against those teams with Hamez, Kovacic, Isco, and Asensio creating chances for him. It was a joke to watch at times.

And I mentioned Mourinho's system because he's not going to get as many chances next year as he did in Madrid.

Yeah the big thing with Morata is that he isn't clinical in a sense that he's a "one chance, one goal" type of striker. Not convinced about his hold up play either, he tends to not get overly involved in the buildup and when he does he doesn't really do much good which is the polar opposite to what Benzema did which is why he was ALWAYS preferred even when Morata was scoring a few and Benzema wasn't as prolific.

Even at 35, going from Ibra to Morata is a MASSIVE downgrade. I think Rashford is still the best option for United going into next season.

Arsenal Quotes

There is no chance of Sol ever leaving for Arsenal. He is a Spurs fan and there is not a hope in hell of him playing in an Arsenal shirt.
