Strikers have done enough to carry this team already this season, it's the midfield and defence which are awful. They create almost zero opportunities for our strikers and panic in possession. We are not strong enough to battle it out and dominate games physically and we also slow in possession and wasteful with passes.

If the defence holds up and the midfield create real chances theses guys are good enough to get the goals and win us the games. But when you have the defensive deficiencies we have and lack of threat from the wings you are literally feeding on scraps as a striker. You literally as a striker have to create your opportunities like what Aubama did against Crystal palace and Watford to score. It's not up front that's the issue, it's what behind them.

Well said! Our strikers are receiving the ball rarely. That too only after our defense and midfield have spent enough time to let our opponents go on a loo break and come back to their position to defend. One has to be super human to score after that.

It is a little like it has gone to their heads to

Where is the pressing that got Auba that sneaky goal?

Laca did it to greatly when he came back from that injury but kinda let of it

If they dont get the ball they gotta compensate

Our strikers have both spent time on the bench but scored goals each against the odds. I've watched numerous times while our wingers fluff there lines losing the ball in dangerous attacking positions, while our central midfielders struggle to carve out clear cut opportunities or deliver a direct passes with quality. Imagine our Strikers say with Özil and Cazorla behind them (A player who would rarely be dispossessed or panicked in possession) on the pitch looking for passes with a midfield general confidently winning and recycling the ball forward quickly along with a competent winger in the mould of say Sanchez beating their man and delivering a quality ball. All while we had a competent defence good enough to keep clean sheets. This is the theory.

These are the levels we are talking about and the strikers we have in Auba and Lack would definitely thrive in theses conditions as they've got enough with the rubbish they have behind them now.

Pressing is a way to disorientate the opposition. It cannot be used as regular means for goal scoring. Even with Klopp's pressing strategy, how many times have they scored by winning the ball in high- press? Should be very low.

That's what makes me cringe. When we had a good midfield with Özil, we had Giroud throwing away all the chances. Now we have two top level strikers and we don't have the midfield to feed them :-(

Not saying it is to score directly just to get involved, be useful, modern football doesnt allow Inzaghis

Pressing hinder build up, disturbs rythm

And even if the press from strikers is Beaten it is not that detrimental to over all Def.

I am not suggesting gung ho full court whole team constant pressing

We have a problem with wingers

We have 2 top notch strikers + Özil

So Strange we haven't played a 4312 not even once :(

Couple of pacy wingers running at fb and whipping low crosses auba would score a ton with the runs he makes and space he makes for himself in the box. We need a midfielder 3 as we just get overrun atm. 4-3-3 imo is the way forward but we need so many new plyers lol. We have a dm but not other cm to play with him we need a dacoure who can get forward and get back

I do get annoyed by him and Laca but let's be honest they're the least of our problems, maybe only goalkeeper is a lesser area of concern for us.

Sadly we have 2 inzaghi as our strikers

Sign some ballers on the wing and attacking midfield who can actually create instead of Iwobi smashing crosses into the opposing full-back's shin.

Would love to see us go 433 but only way that happens is if laca or Auba go. None of this auba at LW rubbish. No square pegs in round holes.

Barely shown any pace at Arsenal.

The pace thing is a serious concern. He has eithier lost a yard due to age in which case dortmund done us, or he is carrying a injury which is slowing him down. Without this pace he is reliant on getting it served on a plate, he wont get that at arsenal for a good while.

Yes he managed to score 20 goals playing with Iwobi mkhi and off form Özil imagine if he has some quality wingers. It's really frustrating we got 2 quality cf but abslout f**k all width and creativity.

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
