Are we extending this guys contract or what? It finishes in 2 years from now. He'll still only be 31 when it expires.

Ruthless assassin's don't miss that much.
I think of the players to score 10+ goals in the Premier League, only Anthony Martial and Sadio Mane had a marginally better goal per shot ratio this season than Aubameyang.

In fact, his goal per shot ratio this season has been 23.4% which, compared with the rest of Europe for the previous 2017/18 season, would have placed him 5th overall, ahead of Messi, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, and Suarez.

He misses chances, yes, but clearly these stats show that everyone in world football misses chances. He is actually putting them away at a better rate than most other strikers in Europe.

Judging by Sanllehi's comments, Auba should be in line for a contract extension this summer.

Lets hope so. It only took a few years for supposedly 'elite' businessmen to realise that maybe it wasn't such good idea to let your star players' contracts run out.

Now if only they figured out next that sometimes you have to spend a little more to earn more and we will be back in business.

Misses so many chances, but hope he get us back into the champions league in style, then the board will have no excuses for not investing in the squad properly.

He can be even better next year. I'm expecting 27 league goals. Still very quick and very robust for a guy his build. Great genetics, apart from the hair.

Not many strikers around who finished as the league's top scorer, yet you can feel so confident he will score even more goals next season. Just knows where the ball seems to fall anywhere inside the penalty area....before it has happened yet. Needs better supply lines to take more advantage of this gift though.

This is the thing though, he doesn't... He creates that space with brilliant timing and your last line there is on the button. Better chance creation and we'll have 40 more goals a season. This lad is unstoppable in terms of peeling off defenders and moving into the ideal spot at the precise moment.

I have had a lot to say about Lacazette creating play and bringing team mates into the game but Auba has a different and unique ability in creating something from absolutely nothing.

Want a clinical performance from the big man tonight. Recently he has found some confidence with the ball at his feet I hope that continues today.

Arsenal Quotes

An Arsenal fan, when you finish fourth, will say, “Hey, we’ve been in the top four for twenty years. We want to win the league!”. They don’t care that Manchester City or Chelsea have spent 300 or 400 million euros. They just want to beat them.
But if you finish fifteenth two years running, they will be happy if you finish fourth after that.
