Literally everything was there apart from end product. Lacazette needs some sharpness asap. His persistence is why he starts.

That was a great game plan, just highlighting the problems with our squad.

Arteta now seeing the depth of the problem.

Please about the game plan. He actually for the middle playing decent.

End product let us down big time. Saka is talented but no idea what that crossing was about, wrong boots? Not good enough at u21 level that.

Good display, the finishing touches were off. Good to see Arteta already making a difference, controlled possession to a much greater extent and we saw some of the things he wants to implement like AMN cutting in, Torreira sticking to the DM role and so on.

Torreira, Özil and Xhaka were the best performers, each looked more engaged. Not surprising that Özil did better with a tidier midfield behind him, though the way Bournemouth played him has to do with it as well, gave him too much space at times.

Finally, we see encouraging performance. I saw glimpses of what Arteta wants to do and with better players we will look really great.

Much better defensive shape and ball retention. The final third was horrible though but it will improve significantly with time.

Arsenal Quotes

I still have an interest in training and development, in the stages that make it possible for players first to acquire technique (between 7 and 12) and then to develop physically (between 12 and 16), then to deepen their mental resilience (between 17 and 19) and finally between 19 and 22 to acquire what is critical, like the roof of a house without which all the rest rots away: intelligence and motivation
