Leno
Cedric Holding Gabriel Tierney
Ceballos Xhaka
Saka Ødegaard Pepe
Laca

ESR and Partey clearly need a rest. Hoping Tierney can return this game.

Wouldnt mind Xhaka-Ceballos for this as well as Ødeargod for ESR. Have to be a little protective about Partey and Croydon Cruyf. Maybe even bench Tierney even if he’s back. Running these guys into the ground could wreck our season.

Any news on Saka?

People are calling Wolves cr@p but forgetting they have had their main striker out since November when he got injured aginst us. Jimenez is very important for them and they have missed him badly. I'm hoping to see Ødegaard start, Laca up top if he recovers from injury. Saka back along with Tierney and hopefully a new left back in the squad.

Yeah so they are crap?

Let’s keep the run going Arsenal...

...whenever Henry did this it should have counted, mainly for the goalkeepers being ******!

They were ****e. All they can do is counter attack.

Jury’s out on Arteta but he’s levels above that Portuguese fraud.
Lol I’d actually take Nuno I rate him as a coach.

You couldn’t justify getting rid of Arteta for him now though, he’s gone on a similar run to Arteta.

I see him upgrading clubs in a season or two though.

Smith Rowe should be fine. Came on as a sub against Newcastle in the FA-cup, sat out the first game against Southampton.

No, they've just badly missed their key player. If he wasn't injured, they'd be doing alot better. They basically have no striker, and Jimenez is key to their system.

I think the point is that they were good before, and now they're crap. And we're playing them now, not before.

I’m on the other side. First in the queue for all of Mendes’ best talent but he plays some absolutely dogsh*t football.

Yes they’ve got injuries but they’re getting sucked into a relegation fight.

Rather than bringing in a medium quality specialist, could we not promote an U23 left back, temporarily use Gabriel at Left Back or switch to a back 3 of Holding, Luiz and Gabriel?

Otherwise why didn’t we just keep Kolasinac? We’ll just be in the same situation of having a bloated squad with unhappy low confidence players.

Getting an upgrade on Bellerin should be a bigger priority. Could you imagine if we had a right back version of Tierney?

Think we will rotate where possible in this one. By the sounds of it KT won't be fit either, so I'd probably go:

---------------Leno
Bellerin--Holding--Gabriel--Cedric
------------Partey--Xhaka---
Pepe--------Ødegaard-------Willian
---------------Lacazette

If we play as we did against united I'm expecting a win here.

We need good quality cover in each position ideally. Our U23's LB (Joel Lopez), although very highly rated, is not ready to compete with Tierney. He has only just broken through to the U23's this season from the U18's. He needs more football at that level on top of a loan before being real competition for Tierney. What better way to do this than to get an experienced LB (Van Aanholt/Bertrand/Rose) who can compete and provide adequate cover when necessary, until our internal highly rated FB is ready?

Must win.

jesus it really is, i feel better about Arsenal these days cos we look vaguely like a proper team, but you look at the league table and we really need to start climbing up it soon. Everton and Villa have two games in hand on us, even Leeds could overtake us if they win their two games in hand, and S'ton. Worst case scenario we find ourselves 12th.

Wolves on Tuesday and Leeds at home next week are simply must wins with no excuses, Villa away at the weekend is trickier, hope for a win but might accept a draw.

100% we need to keep winning and putting pressure on those above us. Liverpool have a big double week coming up with City and Leicester back to back. If we keep putting points on the board we might be in a position to capitalise.

Bellerin Luiz Holding Gabriel
Elneny Xhaka Ødegaard
Pepe Lacazette Martinelli

I'm not sure if it's wise handing Ødegaard his first start here but we can't risk injuries.

Think this front three could work well with Martinelli and Pepe playing as wide forwards rather than outright wingers.

Elneny if he starts must play better than he has in recent matches.
