At bare minimum I'd like us to sign Diame. For only 3.5 mil, thats money well spent. We've easily spent more on Diaby while he was on the sidelines, and we've paid for it by achieving less than we could have.

I've got a really strong feeling that we won't sign anyone though.

So according to goal.com we raised our bid to 11m pounds for Villa.

top 4 battle gets a lot harder if they sign him. Their midfield is functioning well, defense and gk position are playing well and Bale is almost unstoppable these days. If they sign a great cf on top of their already solid team I would be willing to say we won't make top 4 this season.

No point signing just one CB or FB. They will be assimilated into the looser mentality in a couple of months anyway. I'm beginning to think the only solution is to make a clean sweep in our back line and ship the lot of them out. They're incapable of functioning as a unit and nothing short of some sort of army boot camp will cure that.

Nothing will happen for us, until at least 5pm. That's when we'll start hearing rumours if anything's to happen IMO.
