Here's an idea. Obviously we have Partey, then sign Bissouma, sign a backup DM and use the PL player of the month for May. Maybe give Azeez more game time. Sign someone like Aouar who can also play as an 8 or a 10 depending on formation. I don't get why we absolutely need to keep Elneny.

Which back-up DM could we get, realistically?

Partey and Bissouma would be great, with Mo and Joe backing them up...I think that's fine, tbh.

Can put all our funds towards Buendia then too.

What you going to do when Partey, Bissouma and El Neny go to Africa for 3/4 weeks mid season.

It’s not complicated, sign 2 midfielders to use with Partey and Xhaka. Or sign just one if you have plans for Willock or another youngster.

A bum like El Neny doesn’t come into the thinking.

Mangala or Alvarez, but let's not forget we need options, we'll not be playing the same XI or even necessarily the same system every week and because Bissouma is more of a defensive 8 than a 6, he might even need to play alongside a proper 6, maybe with Partey in a 3. Or if Partey needs a rest or whatever it is. We need someone who is primarily a backup but can do a proper job when he comes in. Last thing we need is Elneny being brought in because of an injury and all of a sudden he's playing against the top 6/7 teams and we suffer as a result.

When Liverpool were building under Klopp they got rid of the likes of Lucas and Allen (both far better than Elneny btw), they didn't keep them around because they're decent safe midfielders who'll happily just be a squad option. They knew in order to progress you have to move on from the likes of those players.

Forgot about that annoying tournament, can see why you hate it.

Jorginho on loan it is!

Still Pining for Wenger
Our cast offs are awful but we still sell them far too cheaply when you look at the fees other clubs get.

Real Madrid want 50-70M for a kid who's barely done anything in world football while we're saying 15M is a good deal for the Switzerland NT captain who is in his physical prime and played over 250+ games of football. We're also talking about selling a home-grown player for 30M or less while Newcastle wanted to sell Sean ****ing Longstaff for 50M.

In a period of mass inflation as well
This club..

Not the clubs fault that its own fans send that the same player you are talking about death threats and vile abuse to his wife and new born. Hows the club meant to get maximum value for our players when half the fan base constantly rips shreds through them and tells everyone how **** they're.

Compare that to Liverpool for arguments sake who fans praise even the worst of their players. They got 25m for Brewster who is no better than Nketiah who we won't get close to getting the same amount for.

We can't on one hand abuse players and then also expect to sell them for more than their worth.

The majority of our players in defence and midfield are actually trash and no new manager is going to suddenly fix them. Some will improve and yet still be flawed while others will continue to be no good.

Seems that the Edu/Arteta would agree. Clearly trying to improve these two areas to be able to sustain pressure with and without the ball and get the game played in our half, which in turn will hopefully allow our attacking players to thrive.

Here's one: Wenger gambled on FFP and we're now paying the price for it. Now we have to find a way to play catch up and pressure our owners to actually put some money in.

Pep is nowhere near the best coaches of all time, he can't do anything except spend money, that's his one move.

People mock Arsène for never winning the Champions League, which he probably should have done at least once between 1998-2006, with the players he had.

But Pep, only having 2 (and none since 2011) is beyond ridiculous...considering the teams he has managed, he's failed massively in his career.

Least Wenger knows how to build teams properly...this bald fraud manages the best of the best, but still always fails ffs!
