Yunus Musah for me checks a lot of boxes this summer, but I wonder if the club will be wary to bring him back and send the message to current and future youth members that there's a way back like that, and that that is a good pathway for them? Could be a dangerous precedent. A bit like how Wenger didn't want to bring back Cesc (rumoured it was partly for this reason?) perhaps?

No, given their wealth, that won't work. They'll never sell. You'd need the player to kick up an allmighty fuss, and with the length of the contract, that would mostly be impotent futility.

He’s the one that got away. Maybe the club couldn’t justify pushing the boat out for him with Xhaka here and Patino maybe taking over that role in a few years. But imo he’s a world class player that could play for any team in the world.

He's the centerpiece of their rebuild, no chance they sell. Bruno would have to push for a move, and I don't see him doing that unless it's Real Madrid or something.

He's basically impossible to get - Newcastle don't need the money and he's their star man now.
Never know why we weren't in for him last season, but the club made their choice so we have to accept it, sadly.
