Adebayor: My future is not certain in football

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said that his future is not guaranteed at Arsenal and if the club were tempted to sell him, he would consider plying his trade away from the Emirates Stadium.

Adebayor, who insists he is still happy in North London, said: "In football, you can never give an assurance. I have a very good contract, good money and the life in London is absolutely fantastic.

"But who knows? If Real Madrid comes with an offer of £100m, Arsenal might be tempted to sell me. If Wenger tells me to go, I cannot fight to stay.

"At this moment I am very happy in London and very proud about myself as I have settled well here. I enjoy my life in London.

"Before the season started when I was on holiday, I told myself that I should improve on the way I score goals.

"Even though I didn't play badly last season, I missed some scoring opportunities.

"So I resolved to score more goals and enjoy myself on the pitch.

"I am now very happy with my form and the way I have learnt from my previous mistakes.

"I have very good team-mates and I am very pleased with the way things are going for me and the way the team is playing."

i wouldn't mind him leaving if we can replace him with someone like Anelka. and i won't be suprised if we make a move for Le Sulk in january. he himself said recently that he regretted leaving the club and would love to come back here..

He is clearly just saying if a big offer comes in then its not his decision.
100m and real madrid are just examples.

Adebayor always comes across as arrogant every time he makes a speach. Not sure if it's intentional but... £100m offer from Real Madrid? He needs to start converting his chances more, instead of scoring after missing 10 sitters in a match.

100 Million?!! Dream on Ade, i'd let you go for a tenth of that this January. Lose the ego and start improving on the pitch.

Adebayor is a good player no doubt about it.But my problem with him now is his shooting ability.I think he should shoot the ball in the eighteen yard when the need arises.I would like to see him score more goal this season.

When was this interview recorded ? I can't recall Adebayor scoring in last month or so. After Bendtner's performance last night, I would really doubt if Adebayor will retain is position in the team. Perhaps its time for him to learn..yet more ways of scoring goals. He seems to have run out of tricks.

Adebayor should be consistent on scoring sheet otherwise soon Bendtner will partner with van as he is now ok from injury. He is scoring by getting more chance but Bendtner is serious as well as van in quick shooting.
