The follow through on Martinelli as he scored looked both late and avoidable. Feels like he left those studs in on purpose. Also, God knows how VAR didn't think the challenge on Saka wasn't worth reviewing. The defender slipped and rugby tackled him to the ground ffs!
It is so difficult to have a moneyball strategy with football. Essentially Leicester did it with Mahrez, Kante and Vardy turning into massive players and smart signings of Schmeical, Maddison and Tielemans.Btw remember when Leicester signed Daka and Soumare and everyone was going mad at how ambitious Leicester was and how they were getting all these exciting young players. Crazy how football goes, now both are firmly bench players and Leicester are nowhere near where they were prior to them signing.
Seen too many people here and on twitter going "I'm an Arsenal fan but that's a foul" "To be fair it was the right call". Never seen any other set of fans do that. Us fans fail to set the narrative and expect everyone to play fair. Was it fair that yesterday it was given a foul but Ramsdale against Villa wasn't?We got the win ultimately so it’s gone under the radar.
What the hell were those VAR decisions against us?
When was the last time such scrutiny was applied to a non violent aerial challenge on a GK?
And what the hell was that non decision on Saka? Stone wall penalty which they did not even get the referee to check.
The club shouldn’t be keeping quiet on this
Although i cannor quiet pin what he is good at i like him.Dewsbury-Hall was good for Leicester
GK are more protectet in the 5m box. So it's a foul, although a soft foul. There are some decisions that can go either way. And this was one. Hopefully the next one goes for us.Brutal call IMO. There were arms everywhere in the box. Ward even got a fist to the ball and didn’t protest the “foul” himself. They were itching to chalk that one off.
Trossard denied a wonderful goal.
They did a VAR check vs Newcastle where Burns took down Gabriel, then fell and asked for a penalty. This was a great away win. We nullified Leicester for the full 90 minutes and once we got the goal, we didn't have to leave ourselves exposed by pushing from the second and it showed.
On the decisions:
- It's a clear foul on Ward and rightfully disallowed. It's also more blatant than Villa's goal where Ramsdale was slightly impeded, it's more like Brentford's goal when Leno was clearly held at the beginning of last season, which should have been disallowed.
- Saka penalty shout was too soft and they're not giving those anymore.
- Martinelli was clearly offside.
The only threat Leicester had was when Jorginho went diving in and leaving us exposed. Or giving the ball away under a bit if pressure. The sooner Partey is back the better.
They did a VAR check vs Newcastle where Burns took down Gabriel, then fell and asked for a penalty.
But this is too soft huh. Okay
I don't get your point? They're two different situations. They did a VAR check vs Newcastle where Burns took down Gabriel, then fell and asked for a penalty.
But this is too soft huh. Okay
Why isn't it a foul if you keep hold of the goalkeeper's hand in a corner, so he can't grab the ball, but has to punch it with one hand? Also never a foul on the keeper
Close loss in terms of the scoreline.Close? In what world was this close. The only thing that has people nervous is the fact that the title is on the line and we are up against a juggernaut without our number 9.
But when you take a step back and try and behave like you are a neutral.
This Leicester team beat Villa and had 19 shots vs United. They beat Tottenham. We beat Villa, Sp**s and United and restricted Leicester to one shot. Complete domination doesn't event cut it. Without our starting Dm and starting striker.
We are a ****ing good side.
Pretty clear one, not sure why the fuzz.I really want to see if Martinelli was offside in Saka goal? Anyone bothered trying to draw lines yet?
