Just to throw another name into the ring... Gelson Martins? He looks good in the individual match highlights I've seen, any Portugal/Liga Nos fans know much about him?
Good joke thatEmre Can. Give him 200k, instant upgrade on Ramsey.
If we don't get Fabinho, then we should go for Zakaria. Not quite as established yet, but he's one of those few talents in midfield who is a sure thing for the future. Similar style of play to Fabinho and is already being given the "Next Vieira" title.1. Fabinho - he is perfect for us, though he seems Manchester bound. Another less fancy but realistic option could be Danilo ( the one who plays for porto). Either way this is a position where we need someone to come in straight away, not a prospect. Sadly it is also the position i doubt we will cover
He wouldn't resign, so there was nothing we could do but sell. It's going to hurt seeing him do well for Bayern in the near future.I still get annoyed that we let Serge Gnabry go. Especially since the Ox fked off

I'd be happy with a cheap punt, I'm sure Mislintat could sort that out. What do people think is the solution for the RB problem? We can't carry on with just one designated RB, so we clearly need another one. But do you go and spend significant money on a high-calibre one when you already have Bellerin, do you go for a cheap back-up? Personally I'd like to see a homegrown prospect as back-up to Bellerin, but I don't know of any really and I don't know if our own Jordi Osei-Tutu is up to it.

I'd argue a new winger is too important to ignore. The top teams have quick, tricky wingers who chip in handsomely in the goalscoring department, and we no longer have that.Going for a sensible and not knowing the budget, but knowing the club tries to spend as least as possible, I'd focus on the defence and get one or two CBs, a GK and a DM and try one opportunistic signing, as well as continuing the clear out.
Cazorla is done, he's out.
Holding needs a loan.
Welbeck out.
Cech and Ospina both out.
The opportunistic signing would be Meyer from Schalke. He's out of contract, can play CM and DM, and if need be, higher up the pitch, and with Cazorla's departure there would be place in the squad for him.
For the DM...I quite like Torreira. A lot of people like Fabinho, I've seen Zakaria mentioned. I'd prefer Torreira, he seems the perfect match. Fantastic defensive stats with great passing.
CB could be Manolas. There was reported interest, he's got a buy out clause, seems like a quality signing.
GK...Oblak would be the dream.
That'd be about 150m spent.
Then I'd go for a 4231 like this:
.................Auba
Wilshere...Özil...Mkhitaryan
......Torreira..Ramsey
Kola..........................Bellerin
........Manolas..Mustafi
.................Oblak
Martinez, Koscielny, AMN, Meyer, Xhaka, Iwobi, Lacazette on the bench
Could easily become a 433 with Özil drifting wide left and Wilshere coming in, which would be a decent option in defence, too, going for a 4141, if you need numbers in central midfield.
With Wilshere dropping back on the left, Mkhitaryan doing it on the right and Auba and Özil staying high, another option of defensive shape would be a 442/4411. I'd be quiet a fluid team. It's got passing ability, movement and technique, it's got a proper ball winner in central midfield and seems generally quite balanced.
