you cant win a game with one player in front, is wenger so stupid or what that he is doing that. none of the big teams are playing just one in front, that just useless. the difference between our 4-5-1 with other big clubs 4-5-1 is that they have a set of players who are able to carry that formation. unlike us, henry almost played like a midfielder in 4-5-1 so it seems that we were playing like 4-6-0, let alone our wingers who can cross but the target man isn't willing to head the ball into the net.
think before you say something. it might save you and your country from some embarrassment.

Arsène shouldn't have deployed 4-5-1 with the type of players we have. it seems so wrong.

you guys gotta have short f* memories. Our 4-4-2 was exposed a lot early this year and at that time the *****ing was we are being overrun in the middle of the park cos most teams were playing us with a 5 man midfield. Now we adapt a 5 man midfield..and of course you only remain with ONE striker. That has made us less effective upfront..but in most games has given us some balance in the midfield. So when you ***** about 4-5-1 and you already know failures with our 4-4-2 was the actual cause to try 4-5-1 what do you suggest?

not necessarily true. if the players were played in their respective positions, they might execute it well.
ljungberg ACM, pires RM, lauren LB, reyes LM, senderos and sol switched places.
and on top of that, ljungberg played as RB 15 minutes before full time.
it's really about formation and players organization. if you at the moment don't have players who can play 4-5-1, 4-3-3, 4-4-2 whatever the formation is, well what else can i say.
you're asking for it before you get on the pitch.

all? okay ac milan did it before for quite a number of times, barca are still doing it sometimes as well as man utd, liverpool did it... i can go on but i'm having dinner out... yeah man whatever.
the difference really lies in the set of players we have. they're not compatible enough to play 4-5-1 ATM.
chelski were never a big club before but they are NOW, thanks to the money-pumping russian mafia and credits to their glory hunters as well. i won't be surprised if they shrink to their 90's size once they're starting to fall and i'm still waiting for that day to come.

first you cant become a big team in one good season like chelski had last year and half of this sesaon. And second you said the teams DID have one in fornt like milan and liverpool and manure, but not any more, they realise that cant work well with one in front.

We shouldn't bother playing that formation until we have Adebayor, because he's a target man. Henry is not a bloody target man.

I think 4-5-1 would work a lot better if our midfielders weren't playing like total wankstains.

To be honest a 451/433 formation suits the players we have better than a 442. Only if Henry is not the central front man.
A midfield trio of Cesc, Flamini and Diaby would offer us a bit of everything. We could always bring in Hleb to give us even more of an attacking threat.
Reyes, Henry and Walcott could fight for the wide forward positions and RvP or Adebayor could play centrally.
I think with the right combination we could have a very potent efficient system. It would offer us great variety in attack, and defensivly it would protect us a lot more.

True Conor, but whenever we find ourselves in posession, we run centrally, and run into a brick wall. We have no width, and we counter attack so fast that a lot of our players don't join the attack until later. We have no target man, and that is why we fail in this formation. I do think that Walcott and Adebayor would suit that formation though, and give us that extra potency we've lacked thus far.
