Let one thing be clear here. Nobody on here is getting 50M for Ramsey. The 50M are not even going into transfer kit because we have manager for next 3 years who only believe in buying one 30M player each summer.

The only thing you people get is watching Ramsey tearing the division up under manager who will know how to utilize him right.

The if someone offer 50m we should take it argument is in itself flawed because, as a self financing club, we don't that money unless we can actually reinvest it on another player that we couldn't afford without selling Ramsey.
But at the moment, none of the 50m + player that we need (Aubameyang, Lewandoski, etc.) would come to us instead of the bigger clubs.

So at the moment, selling him would only reinforce Man Utd, make our bank account bigger and ourself weaker.

Why are we investing all this time in youth only to sell them when they are hitting their prime years. Its time we use players best years for our benefits and not sell them for some profit that we will never see spent in transfer window.

If Ramsey goes, we need to sign two midfielders. Xhaka has been an unsuccessful signing, Cazorla is done, we can't rely on Wilshere's fitness, Elneny is average, and AMN isn't ready. Meyer seems to be the favored Ramsey replacement thus far, but we'll need another strong presence next to him.

Only reason to extend is if we get a new manager in the summer that sells him a dream. He's been here long enough to know that nothing much will change otherwise, he'll have to get on with his career.
