Gunners on international duty

Giroud's not much of a worry really now. Only 6 weeks before we can grab someone in January. Theo and Pod can provide the goal power, not that Giroud is providing that at the moment. When was his last goal ffs?

None, that is the problem.

In fairness while he is not scoring he is setting up goals which is equally as important. 11 games, 5 goals and 4 assists is a fairly decent record for someone that was at one point considered not good enough. Out of 34 goals this season in all competitions he has had a hand in 9 of them or just over 1 in 3 goals he is directly involved in.

We've only played twice in the league since then though

Against Liverpool - was unlucky not to score, though could have done a lot better with one of his chances where he was 1v1
Against Man United - everyone played badly and he got no service.

Very unfortunate what happened to Khedira. Every time one of our players are on international duty, I fear they will get a bad injury in a meaningless game.

Khedira's injury came from almost nothing. No real twisting movement or awkward looking fall from my angle.... Pop! There's goes his ACL.

Ramsey is out of Wales' game against Finland with flu.Coleman says that he's been out all week.

Looks like we'll have many players fresh next week.
Only Giroud,Wilshere Monreal and Cazorla will have played 2 games. Those are our starting material or starting players.

And we have Walcott to come next week and Podolski a week after if nothing has changed.
Good news.

Good news on Ramsey that.

Not worried about Jack, Monreal and Caz. They could do with playing, as long as they don't get injured.

Santi has scored for Spain v Eq. Guinea. Spain are 2-1 up at HT. Are Spain really playing away overthere?

edit: Santi subbed off after 58'; Nacho not playing yet.

I read a report somewhere that Wenger made a gentlemans agreement to hodgson that wilshere will only play one game? if that is so, he's out of germany? :argue

I don't really have a problem with Jack playing, he needs the game time. And with Theo back after the break and Podolski not far behind him Jack won't be needed to fill in out wide, and he will be behind in the pecking order in midfield. As long as he doesn't get an injury I'd be happy to see him play Germany.

and they play at South Africa on Tuesday evening, so Cazorla might be short for the weekend. These money spinning friendlies may well cost Spain next summer
