He is old to be changd and I really don't think we would risk using a midfielder in defence. We are too big to be playing players out of position when we have a suitable player already in he position. OK maybe he will come good after a while but can we afford to take that risk? Don't think so. We have have tried it with Ash and Lauren but that was a long time ago. We now have higher expectations and a lower toleration for failure than ever before.

And on another point, lauren has more of a physical presence at the back than SWP could ever have..


If were gonna get a RB.....get a specialist RB like Trabelsi or Oddo...someone who will challenge Lauren.

Personally I don't see what the big deal is with SWP....he is shinning in an average team remember....If Pennant was with City, we'd be crying for him to get a start!

There is no need for a RW as bentley is still waiting in the wings and apart from that, Pires , Reyes and even RVP can play there.

Either get a specialist RB or a Central defender and use Toure at RB.

Ledley King is not worth 15 million quid, IMO. Shaun Wriht-Phillips is nice but not at left back. If we upgrade from Lauren, it should be to get a bigger, more phyical player at that position, not a smaller one.

hmmm...I swear I read somewhere that he is a tottenham fan...yes he is ashleys friend but they use to tease each other about their preferred team. Anyway don't matter none as for the 20 mil...that shock the hell out of me but lets face it we need a bit more experience and quality at the back right now and he would be good for the long term.
