Saka lost his man, just like the last game. Goal. Not blaming him though, he's not an LB.

That first 45mins, if we do that for the rest of the season we will be fine.

Leno-8 he made an error but how many times has he saved us.
Amn- 8 thought it was his best game for us
Mustafi- 7 a better defender stops abraham
Luiz- 8 best performance in a arsenal shirt
Saka- 7 great performance
Torry- 9 brilliant
Doozi- 7 another few seasons and he will be running these games
Nelson- 8 thought he was super, converted me
Özil- 8 on that form he plays for anyone
Auba- 9 captains performance
Laca- 8 fought like a lion all game

Arteta- 8 unlucky to lose. I think we play like that or better till the end of the season we will end up in a good place.

This statement really makes your understanding of football questionable. Sorry. Are you even watching the games? Torreira is garbage as a CM with freedom to roam. Not his game. He's not Kanté.

Yeah but it's better for our defensive structure at DM he doesn't bring structure or stop counter attacks. Our midfield gets cut open with him there.

He's a fan favourite though so everyone kisses his ass.

Referee had a nightmare, unforgivable to book every single other cynical pull back except the one that would/should of been a red. Leno had a nightmare but he’s still top 4 goalie in the league.

Guendouzi shouldn’t be getting played in these big games but I think Arteta’s Hand was forced with Xhakas unprofessionalism.

Arteta was far too slow to change things when they were obviously going against us. As soon as Chelsea started going gung-ho with their subs we should have had Pepe on. He absolutely shone in a counter attacking Lille team, game finally goes into that scenario and he waits till we’re behind to finally do it???

I still see a huge improvement, team needs to get fitter which won’t happen till next season. Need 3-4 smart signings and to stay behind Arteta and we should see this turn around.

Also **** sky for showing that stat at start of second half that we haven’t lost at emirates when ahead at half time, called it at the time that it was an unnecessary jinx.

Someone posted earlier how everyone underestimates the role of the manager. Wrong. The manager did everything right in that match but we still lost because he was trumped by:
  • the quality of players - still making stupid mistakes
  • the huge role of luck - Jorginho still on the pitch when 2 of our players were booked for the same offence.
I'd argue the manager was poor with his substitutions. Luck was also a factor in losing Chambers who was bright and assisted Auba.

The progress is there we controlled the whole first 2nd half was not football was fouling and injures its because of festive fixtures both teams looks out of breath yes Chelsea control most of it but really never threatened Chelsea had 3 chances scored once missed 2 and Leno mistake. Simply gift them win.
