Here's a crazy revelation though: They're match deciding decisions because we also commit more unforced errors than anyone. If we actually put games to bed like the teams above us do, if we didn't turn basic actions into calamities unlike the teams above us then there wouldn't be such a focus on these decisions because they wouldn't be of the same impact. If we're 3-0 up like we should be when the handball occurs, it's frustrating but nobody is obessessing over it. It's a more pleasant narrative to focus on than the club being a shambles. In football you can control how you perform and nothing else. The officials are outside your control, so rather than dwelling on that how about we stop making crippling errors so that we aren't allowing the kinds of officiating mistakes that every club is dealing with have an outsized impact on our season.Im not blaming the refs for us being midtable though? We’ve been poor most of the season, no doubt.
Almost every game a match deciding decision goes against us. When was the last time the balance of decisions went our way? I challenge you to give me an example. This isn’t normal.
The last game I remember (I watch every game) is the FA cup final v Chelsea. Seriously think it was so as the FA wanted an extra English club in europe.
