Funny seeing how the **** are gloating on getting keane back for a profit, not reliesing that his absence had them in relagation for 4 months, suddenly that extra £8m in the bank doesnt sound great anymore.

£8m?

I'm hearing 4/5m from the Sp**s fans I know and that they bought him for what he was sold for from a Pool fan with journo friends.

Either way they're accepting back a player who forced a transfer out of the club. A guy they booed when he played against them this season. Thats pathetic IMO.

Keane was bought for £12m plus addons. You have to assume he is going to end up costing closer to £15-16m than £12m after the addons.

One of the addons could be "if we're not relegated you get another £2m" etc.

The Liverpool screw up over Keane has bailed Sp**s out after their comedy repurchase of Defoe for far more than they sold him for, but you have to wonder what Defoe and Bent make of all this. Bent now looks like fourth choice again after being their top scorer this season so far and Defoe now has to play with the exact player who kept him out of the team last season.

you know what the funny thing is? they re-sign Keane and Defoe gets hurt for potentially 2.5 months.. LOL (stress fracture in his foot)

I still don't understand why Liverpool sold Keane. I know he isn't playing well for them, but still would have been one more option for them. They don't have many quality strikers, why sell when they are pushing for the title? And he has only been there for 6 months, isn't it too early to give up on him like that? And they lost money as well... It just doesn't make sense to me.

The sale of Keane is very strange from a Liverpool perspective.

They don't really have anything as backup for Torres, Benitez doesn't trust Babel and N'Gog isn't exactly close to being good yet. Keane didn't really deliver for them but he seemed to fall out of favour almost immediately and after he missed a couple of sitters I think that spelt the end for him although I don't know why.

For a club like Liverpool that are supposed to have financial issues, wasting upwards of £5m on a player they had for only six months seems completely ridiculous. Especially when you consider they didn't replace him with anything, but Rafa must have a plan.

If Torres and Gerrard stay fit they wont care that Keane has gone.

That's what the Beeb says; 12m + add-ons. Nothing very specific.

Looks like Tymoshchuk will move in the summer.

Tymoshchuk is a superb player. He would have been a brilliant signing for us. He will be a very good replacement for van Bommel.

Bayern's team is looking very strong once again.

I think we did, and that involves no bias, whatsover. Other than the potential capture of Kaka, there was nothing that superceded Arshavin's signing.

I think we made the best deal, both in terms of quality and value for money.

I suppose the next best would be Sp**s and Cudicini.

In terms of best transfer: we did. Bayern secured Tymochuk for next season though which was a really good piece of business as well. Given has to be mentioned too. Can't believe City got him for that fee.

In terms of best talent: I think Palermo got away with robbery in broad daylight when they signed Abel Hernández.

In terms of best signing in respect to current club level: Bullard will probably be great for Hull and Cudicini will... eh, most likely suck, but he won't suck half as bad as Gomes at least. And he was free. Perfect signing for a club who's aiming to avoid relegation.

I think its a tie between arshavin and quaresma

we badly needed arshavin and got decent deal

Chelsa badly needed a winger like quaresma and its a loan which is perfect.

We need arshavin to claim cl spot

chelsea ned quaresma to try win the league

Quaresma is gonna flop big time. He's failed under Rijkaard, and now he's failed under Mourinho as well, in a league that is at a lower level than the PL.
