i know you will always get those who claim to be in the know etc, and im not claiming that i am either, but...
One of my old school mates does scouting for Villa around my town and surrounding villages (in the midlands, obviously) and as such, gets to talk to a few of the Villa lads.
Well he has informed me that after speaking to Craig Gardner, he has heard that Gareth Barry to Arsenal for £7 million and Diaby.
I'd take it with a pinch of salt obviously, but still, interesting...

Of course if we do sell ADE than i'd have to rethink that.

Agree with that. We definately need a CB and a CM both of whom have experience (preferably premiership experience). Players like Zhirkov would be a bonus.
My wishlist would be Lescott/Hangelaand, Barry/Alonso/Toulalon and Zhirkov to come in for around 35 million with Traore, Diaby, Simpson and Senderos being sold for around 20 million.

He's a 6'0", Serbian DM that looks like he can both create and destroy. He has also been deployed as a CB at times for HBSC.

Blind faith in "LVG filoshophy"
Not particularly impressing me when I see him (always watch the Bundesliga MOTD show). Played 24 league matches (18 starts, 9 times subbed off, 6 times subbed on) this season (was out injured for 7 matchdays), his average kicker.de (best German football daily) rating is 3.76 (scale: 1 -very good- to 6 - crap-), which is very low (11th rated Hertha player, not top 10 for his position). Scored 6 times though (and no assists).
