Favourite player? You must be kidding! How any Arsenal fan could have a 'favourite' out of this lot, after what's happened to us in the last 5/6 years, is beyond me.

Each and every single one of them are the potential next c*** that will **** us over as soon as Man City, Barca, Chelsea or whoever come sniffing around. And I very much include Jack Wilshere in that too.

Our fans still worship the ground some of these players walk on and describe them as 'true gooners' When infact there's no such thing.

I don't have an ounce of emotional attachment to any of the players in our squad, not one.

this pretty much sums is up perfectly for me, from idolizing the likes of brady, overmars and then pires, i now really cannot trust any of them and would rather just keep some emotional distance from any of our players. Bunch of turn coats.

I have no emotional attachment to any of our players. As a kid I worshipped Arsenal players. These days our very own players have done their part to literally tear the club apart.

In fact, I believe that the Emirates era has been some of the darkest days in the clubs history. The last few years what the fans have endured in terms of all the players we've lost, medicore players we've perservered with, the end of season collapses, the horrific injuries, the ridicule and abuse our manager and club get from media and opposing fans, losing finals, embarrassing opposition comebacks, wrong end of thumpings, endless summer transfer sagas that more often than not we come out the wrong end of, battles at board level. It has been a very very tough time to support Arsenal. Everything that we were so lucky to have witnessed in Wengers early tenure we've suffered at the other end of the spectrum after the move to the Emirates.

But still, but still...

Please, everybody, can we not use terms like "true gooner" or say things like "he's Arsenal through and through" anymore.

I don't trust / like a single one of them now. Guilty until proven innocent that they love the club. They don't know a thing about Arsenal's class and history and values.

It really pisses me off that I can't even imagine Wilshere staying longer than 2 more seasons if we aren't winning by then.

Koscielny just signed a new contract, Sagna has been the best RB in the league for quite some time and is STILL at Arsenal, Vermaelen always works his ass off and Wilshere is Arsenal through and through, unless he wants to leave to play for ****ing West Ham, which I highly doubt.

My favorite Arsenal player? What's the point in having one?

There's a reason that the two most beloved players in Arsenal history are Tony Adams and Dennis Bergkamp. Yes, Thierry Henry was the greatest, and the way he left puts him on a far higher moral ground than such traitors as Nicolas Anelka, Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole, Mathieu Flamini, Alexander Hleb, Emmanuel Adebayor, Francesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie, none of whom would have made it out of obscurity if not for Arsène Wenger -- and some of whom have already fallen back into mediocrity after leaving. But he did leave.

There's a spot open to be filled; depending on performances this season, it'll likely be one of the following: Szczesny; Verm; Kos; Wilshere; Ox. I'd love Gibbs to be in with a shout, coz he's seems a really down-to-earth, unassuming fella. But he'll have to go some on the pitch.

It's funny, because 5/6 years ago Cole, Cesc, Nasri, Adebayor, Clichy, RVP, Song, had NEVER done ANYTHING to warrant any mistrust either.

Yeah, that's a nice metaphor, but it would have been more accurate to say something like; 'It's like your missus has left you and then shagged your brother. Then the following Summer, your other brother has shagged her, as well as your cousin. The summer after that, it's your uncles turn followed by your old man.

I'm sorry, I don't begrudge fans of teams coming here and giving their opinion, but you just can't understand how we're feeling right now. It has now become an annual event, as regular as clockwork, that 1 or 2 of our star players desperately want out every Summer.

I know of no other club, be it lower league, foreign, successful, unsuccessful, rich, poor, that has to deal with this situation with such regularity.

So you'll have to forgive us if we find it a bit hard to trust our players these days.

As for current favorite players, Arteta and Kos the Boss. Hard to pick between the two, both are team players that quietly go about doing their best for the logo on the front rather than the name on the back.

IMO we have got rid of most of the whining bottlers, how can that be a bad thing. This is the start of a new era. Who have we really lost anyways, lets put it into perspective. Have any of those players gone on to set the football world alight.

We lost one good player in Fabregas, we will have to wait and see how the RVP scenario pans out. But it will not suprise me to see him bottling a few chances then do what he does best break down completely.

The players we have sold all had their prime years at Arsenal or else they peaked and it all went down hill when they left.
