I'm not worried about this guy at all yet. He's just forcing things far too much at the moment too desperate to make an impact. Watching him currently is like watching Salah when he's out of form. Holding on to the ball too long, constantly hoping he'll get that opening to shoot on his left and only passing it when it's absolutely off the table. Constantly trying to do too much and find something decisive. He just needs to relax and be natural a bit more and form will find him.

He’s my captain in fantasy this week, lad’s bringing home the bacon I’m sure of it.

Yeah this is getting boring now. You can’t blame Emery for anything about Pepe’s start to the club. He’s starting every game and has been on the ball plenty, the problem (so far) has been his quality.

Not everything is about the manager.
No less boring than you defending Emery at every turn , And yes he has been starting every game, mind you isolated because of Emery's ****housery tactics such as starting him as a striker or starting with three defensive minded midfielders with no link between attack and defense,

Pepe strikes me as a guy who thrives on service not the type to create something out of nothing which is what he's having to do at the moment because this incessant managers pig headed obsession with starting Guendouzi and Xhaka in the same midfield.

League is very weak
Ian Wright said the other day that the team set up is the reason why Pepe is struggling. Everybody can see it, the Emery fan boys aside. Our coach is a greasy haired Tony Pulis.

There is more to getting the best out of your players than just naming them on the team sheet every week.

None of our attackers are shining, it’s all a struggle.

Özil's Arsenal career is coming to an end, Pepe's just began after we spent £70m+ on him. Silly comment.
It's not silly at all. I'm not anti Pepe. But Özil looked in decent form when he has played this season. The money is irrelevant. You pay the price, or you don't. You play your most effective players, and when Özil had played, he's looked effective. "Silly comment" is a cop out, in lieu of a better constructed point.

Compare the service that Mane, Sterling and Salah get to Pepe.

I guarantee you that you’ll be able to count the times that Pepe has been played in on goal or presented with a big chance on one hand.

He’s a wide forward that is being given the ball to feet at almost every opportunity because our manager can seemingly only attack with fullbacks.

Emery has hardly committed to width. Not sure its on him though as the club left him short.

We are like a NFL team with one quality receiver. The guy had a better player opposite him at Lille stretching play than at Arsenal.

Think he's been played in once , have you seen cohesion in the forward line since Jan this year ? rarely , all the intricacies we used to have on the edge of the box are pretty much gone . A lot of our goals have come from just individual quality . So I do feel sorry for Pepe because not sure he will learn much under Emery .

You know what , all those that used to say Wenger never taught tactics etc it's taken a stint with Unai to well and truly bust that . I mean have a look at us .

Nothing Wrong With Me
I'm sure Pepe will come good, so much of an attackers game is confidence and he has very little of that but it can all change quickly. People say we are not playing wide enough for him but he's a left footed player playing on the right, he loves to cut in onto his favoured foot so its not just about playing wide. I think part of the problem is his link up play, he has no real connection with Auba on the pitch and that needs to improve. I also think when Bellerin is back it will help Pepe because he can go back to cutting in with Bellerin taking players wide with his runs forward. We are only 7 games in, we all know what Pepe is capable of, I'm sure it will come.

So true, I feel like Pepe is the dynamic secondary option that Wenger always wanted.

Emery literally has no idea what to do with him, I’m sure today is going to be more of the same: Pepe receiving the ball to feet with the opposition RB and RCB set and in front of him, with nobody to play him in behind due to the disconnect with the midfield and Auba’s limited nature.

There are definitely some things he needs to work on though, I think literally every cross he’s attempted has been poor but to go from a set piece specialist to somebody who can’t kick a football properly indicates his mind isn’t quite right.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the title on May 3-rd by beating Everton 4-0 as Tony Adams scored that iconic goal, we showed everyone and especially Manchester United that we could beat them. Thirteen days later, when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in the FA Cup final in the legendary Wembley Stadium, it was wonderful... I felt immensely proud for the team, for the club: this was the fantastic response I was able to give to those who had put their confidence in me, as well as those who had put me through all those difficult weeks when I first arrived.
