they making the similar mistakes like us when we were top 4 team no ambition to take extra step they lucky they have Klopp because without him the decline will start.
Unless you're City and can afford to buy a player for £60m and pay him £150k a week to sit on the bench they haven't got much choice.

They only have two choices. Either try to sell some of their older players and replace it with quality younger players and rebuild that way. Which will still cost a fair amount of money and in best case scenario will take a few years just to reach the level they're at now.

Or do what they're doing now. Trying to keep the squad that has given them so much success as long as possible together. Which means spending all their money on contract extensions. They had to give huge contracts to Salah, Alisson, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho etc. Don't think it has anything to do with having no ambition. For a club like Liverpool who try to live within their means it just isn't possible to then spent a lot of money on transfers on top of that.

I might have been a bit harsh on Tomiyasu earlier. He does look like an interesting prospect who ticks a lot of the boxes - seems to have some genuine pace and physicality about him as well as being a good dribbler and passer. His attacking output doesn't look great but a least he's a unit who can help out White at the back. Being two footed is also useful and it might mean he is used as our backup LCB ahead of Mari next season once settled.

I'll give a little bit of credit to the club for addressing an area of need, although Emerson going to Sp**s is still a bitter pill to swallow - a similar profile player but looks like he was the first choice for Sp**s and most likely us as well. Hope we don't regret "buying cheap" on this one. Will be interesting seeing how they both get on this season.
