How could a shambolic team with a useless manager beat the richest team in history with a superb manager? It can't happen can it?

Your post sounds like there's a small doubt in your mind. ;)
Wenger has been a great manager, the greatest Arsenal manager without doubt. We have many good, a few very good players. It is still possible for us to beat anyone if things go our way. But one thing is missing - the concentration, workrate and consistency to win most games and only occasionally drop points.

Like an ageing pornstar with the prettiest wife in someone else's home, the man just can't deliver on tap. He talks the talk but then... no rise. He's forgetting what it takes to win games. And there's no managerial Viagra. The trolls who've been calling him senile for years are just that trolls but I think age has caught up with him. It's cruel, but it happens. The longer it takes for a change to hppen the more atrophied the club becomes.

I liked how one of the media pundits (I forgot who) said Wenger is now like a forsaken gambler who is mindlessly chasing a huge loss. The harder he fails, the heavier he bets.
Thought gamblers threw money at a problem, which is the exact opposite of our club.

We're making a profit at a time we should be investing heavily, like our competitors. ;)

There's an element of truth in that Mo, no doubt. But I bet the guy is busting a gut to fix this problem but he can't.

Wenger should have left years ago. The fans never understood in the period 2004 to 2013 what Wenger achieved with his squad cost. Victim of his own success.

After that, that the criticism intensified, the last two years . . unbearable. Even the great man can't overcome the team's nervous reaction to the pundits, journos and fans and in the last two years with social media pressure, they've been wracked with nerves.

And that exactly fits the pattern we've seen . . shaky starts, losing more games, larger score lines, player concentration, heads down, individual mistakes, much better home form particularly when the fans make supportive noises. And, if the team get get a collective burst of temporary confidence, they look a different team and win against the odds.

Anybody who can't see the anxiety of our players when they receive the ball, particularly at the back, needs their eyes testing.

Nothing will fix this problem until Wenger leaves. No matter who we buy they'll get sucked into the same vortex of uncertainty and apprehension.

There is a chance this one might fall to the elements.

As usual, snow is bringing this country to a grinding halt. Even if it's on, best of luck to those going.

To be fair a couple of leaves on a train track brings this country to a halt.

All the trains for me have been cancelled despite there being no snow since 5am. Ridiculous

Not that I'm complaining about a day off work.

Probably good the weather doesn't cause this game to be cancelled. That'll be the excuse for a half full stadium as opposed to the awful run of form we've been on.

on the official poll on Arsenal.com 38% have voted for city to win by three goals or more, people have had enough, theres a toxic atmosphere and time for change.

on whether we’ll surrender possession again on Thursday night…
Look, we did that in the semi-final of the cup and it worked.

Wenger in todays press conference.....

Trains round here normally get cancelled because someone's jumped in front of one. Fair enough, I suppose.

Monreal is apparently out for the foreseeable future, City, Milan and possibly one more, according to Wenger in today's presser

Didn't realise City only had 3 shots on target.

Jesus. We had an xG of 1.3 and their's was 0.8. We had a 53% of winning that match and City only a 16% chance.

Thought from the commentary we were absolutely hammered. Just goes to show.
