It's interesting because the SL was initially supposed to be a midweek competition that replaced the CL. Getting banned from domestic leagues really would kill football as we know it, with no hyperbole.

All about the cash. Let's face it if there was ever to be European Super League based on prestige and European heritage Arsenal would be nowhere near being invited.

Hang on a sec that's not quite fair. Heritage isn't just about winning things. West Ham is steeped in English football heritage but it's never won anything. We were in the CL for like 20 consecutive seasons, that's heritage, not the best heritage lol, but it's heritage.
